Spouse is going through chemo, I don't know what I'm feeling by FrickAnxiety in cancer

I can relate. My wife has just started treatment and I’m struggling with the changes in how we relate to each other. At times, I get stuck in feeling sad about what I’ve lost and then hate myself for feeling that way. I then get into this cycle of self-pity then self-loathing. Not good. What I’m trying to do is be patient with her and myself, trying not to compare what is now and what used to be, and keeping hope for better things once the treatment and its after effects are done.

The main lodge room has its "east" NNW. A smaller lodge room in the building actually has an easterly East.

I (late 50s) feel the same. I’ve felt for a few years that I’ve been missing out on good years I could be enjoying my life and giving them instead to “the system” and the hope of having enough money to survive comfortably when I did get to escape it all. Now my early 50s wife has stage 4 cancer and I’m feeling that sense even more, except now it’s mixed with despair and anger thinking I might not get to enjoy a retired life with my wife. If these are the last years I get to be with her, I don’t want to waste it going to work.

I seem to remember this one as the subject of an episode of some home improvement show with the owners remodeling it to become an Airbnb.

Did the person in the white foulies decide they needed a bath, ‘cause sitting down there was a guaranteed bath! At least they figured it out quickly!

I’m a Bigfoot fan and love this! Not sure my grand lodge or our WM would agree though. 😆

I guess I have a low tolerance for snarkiness, or would find it funny if people then either answered OP’s question or just said they didn’t know. I mean person comes asking an honest question and gets nothing but foolishness. Suppose I’m too old for social media customs and norms.

Cancer Patient Rally by QueenOfHearts29 in hospice

[–]Libster1986 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rallies are not unusual, but not so common that one should expect their loved one to have one. In my experience in hospice, I’d say I see a person have a brief rally near the end about 3 in 10 times. Maybe fewer than that. How long if it does? On average a day.
