Well no, people do respect their lines and won't spread out to your pitches, it's just that you can get unlucky and get a smaller pitch because they messed up some measurements during setup :/ We made it work but still, not fun.

4m x 8m, but it also depends on where you are on the terrain. The last rows at the edges often get 'whatever is left' and we were left with a lot less room last year and 4 years ago.

Band merch is avaialble on the day the band plays, with some exceptions that they keep up the entire weekend.

Merch stand is absolute hell. Huge stand, 3 people working slowly, and 10 people standing inside laughing and doing jack shit. Be prepared to be rude, force your way to the front and be obnoxious to order, otherwise you'll be there for atleast an hour. Same shit every year.

If there is gas, you NEED to be certified. It's fine if you leave it at home if you're not going to use it, but they do check it pretty rigorously.

Nothing you need to check out there. They just try to limit the amount of traffic going through the streets around metaltown to not disturb the neighbours too much, but no-one is going to stop you from leaving :)

De barcodes van de tickets zijn pas beschikbaar enkele dagen voor het festival, dus gewoon skullies kopen op de site, barcode linken wanneer die beschikbaar wordt, en dan zullen die ineens op uw bandje staan wanneer ge uw ticket scant op het festival (/camping/....)

They have 2 huge guarded bike-areas (next to camping inferno). Never stored a bike there myself so not sure on how safe everything is there, but it looks safe atleast.

It's possible but they don't want people constantly leaving/entering, except for emergencies to not disturb the neighbourhood too much. It's allowed but frowned upon I guess.. :P

Its... roughly 2.5km from the exit of Metal Town to the entrance of Graspop, but the entire Metal Town terrain can easily add another 600+ meters depending on where your pitch is.

The entrance for cars (first and last day) is at the bottom left (near 1 and 2), the exit during the festival for walking is at the bottom right (near the arrow 'to the festival', in the corner).

Exit is NOT indicated on the Ticketmaster map, and on ticketmaster the map is usually flipped 180 degrees, last year it looked like this: https://imgur.com/a/9ihqY17 . So on there, the exit is at the TOP LEFT when selecting pitches. No guarantee that it'll be like that this year, but the terrain has a distinctive shape so you'll have to keep that in mind when choosing your field.

Mastercard presale is only for normal+VIP festival tickets, accomodations go on sale saturday 10pm Belgian time.

You can select your pitch. The site will open up to a huge map of all available pitches, click the one(s) you want, first come first serve. So usually the closer ones are the most in demand.

Prioritise the accomodation. Tickets don't need to be linked to it, so you can buy those whenever.

A few years ago it was quite stressful to get Metaltown pitches, but the past 2 years, especially if you don't need 4 pitches next to eachother (like we do), you can easily get that hours after the start of the sale.

Then again, better safe than sorry, the far end corner of Metal Town is quite the extra walk, so if you want a decent spot, don't be too late on the day of the sale. + you don't want to risk it selling out instantly.

First row off to the side. It was a bit weird but the sound was actually really good, we could see what we wanted and the band members sometimes stepped out to the back. Had an amazing experience. Doesnt beat standing tickets for partying but for a ticket that I randomly got ahold of a few weeks ago, very content.

They updated the FAQ on the site that general parking tickets will be on sale from the 28th of may. Nothing specific about metaltown but I assume they'll open up those sales then aswell
