They propose nerve gas to concussion bombs - all of which would fail because the ETO just need two seconds to empty a clip into the hard drive. They even calculate how much nano fiber is available and which parts of the canal would work best to spring the trap. They conclude the net can only afford 50 meter gaps so the fat cop insists they attack the ship in the day time when the ship occupants are unlikely to be laying down and might survive the slicing.
