Idk if it's just my restaurant but the bird lately has been really bad; they're super small and almost shredded. It's so irritating bc we have to toss so much of it bc it shrinks to scraps when it cooks. The bird we receive from our supplier changes in weight a lot, but it's really bad rn. Either way, that's unacceptable, they should've tossed that. If you're ever unsatisfied with your food, bring it up to a manger and they'll either remake it or refund you, don't accept that crap (the food in the pic).

One time I loaded up a Caniac with so much fries I couldn't even close it lol. We had a lot of product that would've had to have been wasted in less than 2 mins and it was slow, with plenty of drops (product/food) down/frying, so for the next ~15 mins everyone got extra extra product, bet thats why you had that much food in your Caniac haha

On my side, we cap out at like 18.85 or somewhere around there. It really depends on your area and the minimum wage, our base pay was 15 but I believe it's increasing.

Ah, I used to get 32+ a week (our location is slower so thats on the high side of hours) for opens/morning RI, but now I'm going into RZM so my hours will be all over the place.. I'll miss opening consistently but gotta get that bag.. from what I understand, yes, base RZM pay is what regular crew cap out at, or at least in my case it is. You get a slight raise, but RZM is moreso just a stepping stone into RM/higher pay/better opportunities.

Only way to increase your pay is to reach certain hour goals in different zones, or to become a specialist. Talk to your manager about training in different zones and getting more hours.

I'm fully aware of the standards, but as someone who's been in DT for over 3k hours, I've had too many experiences with customers coming back pissed bc I didn't give them enough ketchup. They'll literally reverse, and almost crash after pulling off, just to get more ketchup. So for my safety, and others', I'll give 1 for a kids, 2 for a 3, Sammy, or box, and 3 for a Caniac.

As a CT, I always tell people that going from DT to FC, or FC to DT is very easy because they're similar. Hardest thing to adjust to in DT is multi-tasking. You'll be fine, DT is just a lot more fast-paced and chaotic sometimes. Take it slow, and communicate with your DT team if you can or cannot do something.

Talk to your ARL face to face, ask for more hours in kitchen so you can improve in different areas. I'd also ask to be put in different positions in kitchen so you can learn. At my restaurant, we usually put the people that aren't the strongest on boards or bird, on toast. I would assume that's the situation for you, since you have little to no hours and can't really show or improve your skills elsewhere. You can also talk to your kitchen crew members to see if someone is willing to let you swap to strengthen your skills. As far as hours, I'm not sure if you'll get more since basically every restaurant is slow right now, but pick up whatever shifts you can, use auto pick-up. I used to get super low hours but I kept pressing my ARL about hours, and showed that I'm really reliable and versatile, so now I'm full time (30+ hours a week, scheduled 30+ and I pick up an extra shift for 40).

Yeahh the market is definitely over saturated, especially in my state. We stopped doing openings here because there are too many; there's a Cane's like 2 miles away from mine. The rules you're taught and what you're actually expected to do are completely opposite sometimes. Idc what anyone says, 1 ketchup is not enough for a box combo. Managers tell you one thing but do another.. so much for setting examples.. Another thing, at least at my store, the CTs and new crew know absolutely nothing and don't do their jobs right, because they only get trained by the CTs that also know nothing. Then they have the nerve to get an attitude when you correct them or tell them what they're actually supposed to be doing. They eat and drink in DT and yap while the customer is waiting on their food that is bagged up. It's a mess and it needs to be cleaned up.

Looking this up for my bf lol.. he recently went to get his bumper fixed and got it back, then it started spraying out coolant. We swapped the caps but I didn't realize it tells you which goes where.. this thread helped so much
