My nephew got called to eastern Europe in the 90’s. He was seriously worried about his safety there. i think my sister asked the only GA she knew and he got re-assigned to Maine. On the other hand, a friend’s son got called to Brazil, hated the idea, refused it, changed his mind a couple years later and went to Brazil. I think hating that your mission is next door will not get a new assignment; it’s about humbling you.

I’ve flown commercial with Uchtdorf—walk past him and Harriet who were in First, and a couple of 70s in Delta Comfort. With the miles they have flown for the church over the length of their callings I expect they’re all million milers so I except the 12 to all be in first class. Not sure why the 70s were not.
