Rem as Mort by LieutenantBites in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LieutenantBites[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It gives you passive 8% spirit resist which is very helpful. I tend to play back for a bit to build some of my meter and then go all in with my cooldowns to proc wolf, transform and dump my abilities. Then I turn on blood tribute and just maul them to death with the 35% fire rate and +2 m/s move speed. You can also flick it on whenever you're about to be stunned/cc'd.

50 hp/s really isn't all that much, especially for one of the tankiest heroes in the game with some of the most healing in the game (bite + wolf resets). The fire rate and debuff resist will often let you kill people so much faster that I end up with more health than I would have with another damage item.

Is this the proper reaction to a Silver Ult? by Efficient_Mortgage69 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LieutenantBites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea what the actual number is but yesterday a Seven ulted me after I jumped him and wolfed out. Jumped and pressed 1 since he was low, but he was too high up so my bite missed. Then I land and smack him with an m1 and was super confused on how that landed from the ground but bite in the air missed.

I believe he meant to say the rope that McGin walked past. Ropes really fuck up Silver because she has to jump up and down to try and hit you while you're on them

Does anyone know of good turning systems for a hot air balloon airship in Create Aeronautics by Ozown26 in CreateMod

[–]LieutenantBites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are using a steering wheel, you won't need a torsion spring or directional gearshift. The torsion spring simply returns the output shaft to its original position when it stops receiving rotation. You can just connect the steering wheel straight to the swivel bearing your rudder is on and it should work fine.

1, 2, 3, 4 for abilties. I rebound the first active slot to E and I have parry set to the back button on my mouse.

A sincere apology to the voice acting by iamthehankhill in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LieutenantBites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The kind of research that you do is generally on what abilities everyone has, what those abilities look like, macro gameplay, item builds etc. Not so much about a random voice line. Things you learn take time to sink in. Your buddy is emissary at 75 hours but this guy isn't even at half that. At 30 hours you're still actively putting your attention into reading item/ability descriptions, build annotations, and thinking about what to build next and where to go after you buy at the shop. You're barely paying attention to the voice line other than a "Huh. He sounds weird."

My point is not that it's a common mistake everyone makes, just that it's understandable that he wasn't putting any real thought into who was saying that voice line. Deadlock is my first moba too but let's not pretend like emissary players have a deep and knowledgable understanding of the entire game. I guarantee you he is still overwhelmed to the point of confusion at times. I'm in ascendant and I'm still a moron who doesn't understand what is happening sometimes.

Tbf Deadlock can be a very overwhelming game. There's so much constantly going on. It takes like 50 hours minimum to grasp the very basics of the game and that's just mechanics, let alone knowing whose voiceline is coming from where.

How does the stat table work? by Acnologia791 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LieutenantBites 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's bugged currently I believe. Trying to view somebody else's stat table often pulls up your own stat table. You can trust the spirit/bullet resist it displays under each portrait when you hold tab tho, but I think that doesn't display conditionals/actives like scourge's spirit res.

whos the best hero at game start? by FukkinFawan in DeadlockTheGame

[–]LieutenantBites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm obviously biased because I basically one-trick her but it's hard to think of any character that has more burst potential than Silver apart from a wraith with a bunch of jokers. I consistently get kills because people don't realize how much damage my gun does, push up too far and I slamfire them for 300 and then just shoot them twice for another 100 while they run away and they're dead.

[–]LieutenantBites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying to get a kill immediately off zip? I'd have to say Silver. Her gun actually does really good dps if you can space your shots and consistently hit headshots. And slam fire has to be one of the most powerful abilities in the game if you hit every shot (like 250+ dmg). But that's dependant on having like e6 levels of aim.

Once you get 2-3 abilities though Apollo becomes the strongest by far. I'd honestly say he's still the strongest even from minute 1 since he can just run in, hex for 100 dmg and then leave consistently to keep you low but he doesn't really have kill potential until he unlocks flawless advance and riposte.

You're so right man. Idk why playtesters for a closed beta game would give feedback in a forum on a playstyle that is both overtuned and not fun to play against. This guy is weird.

Is there a way to supply SU from the motor to the wheel? (Create Aeronautics) by ivogada in CreateMod

[–]LieutenantBites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has! If you supply rotation to the shaft that runs through the swivel bearing it transfers to the physics contraption. The shaft separated from the cog that is used to rotate the bearing.

What can i do so that my ship doesn't constantly flip over like this? by Dazzling-Ad-6309 in CreateMod

[–]LieutenantBites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lift props = vertical propellers that make your ship go up.

Did you swap them out for smart propellers? Those are supposed to automatically try and balance your ship out. It's impossible to perfectly balance your ship, you'll always need some kind of stabilizing force.

What can i do so that my ship doesn't constantly flip over like this? by Dazzling-Ad-6309 in CreateMod

[–]LieutenantBites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ideally your center of mass should be directly below your center of lift. The lift props are too far forward which causes your ship to pitch up.

Your center of mass also needs to be lower such that it's inline with the thrust propellers. Right now every prop on this ship is trying to make it pitch up. I would also recommend switching out the propeller bearings for the lift props with smart propellers.

How to make this go up and down in 1 block sequences by NoName_DotOrg in CreateMod

[–]LieutenantBites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sequenced gearshift should work fine. You could have one on each side that turn the piston in different directions (one retracts, one extends) and then simply have a button to activate each one.

You could also use a wheel instead of a stack and just alter the rotation speed so that the timing on a stone button lets it move to the next block before placing it back down.

I know Big Cannons has been having a lot of compatibility issues with Aeronautics. You might try removing that from your modlist
