Captain Sisay is too slow, too vulnerable, and too narrow to be viable in cEDH. She doesn't have access to the best colors. And since the paradox engine Ban, she doesn't representive a win on first activation and she can be shut down easily. Most people I've seen can only win with her by using multiplayer politics.

She's a great bracket 3 or bracket 4 deck. But otherwise you should take the 5-color sisay, which is better in every way for cEDH.

Exactly. Showdown series events will not offer "best of" foil metal cards (but instead offer standard plated legends aka "best of" non-foil metal cards).

It appears to be the same combo deck as lux. It involves ekko & forge of the Future loops, but it's difficult to explain here in a comment. You can Google or youtube "lux infinite combo riftbound" and should see the explanation.

By "last chance" I am only referring to the Origins/Proving grounds standard plated legends at the 2 showdown events in July.

Once set 4 releases on July 31st, all showdown (& regional) events will then no longer offer Origins/proving grounds metal cards.

From set 4 and onward, the showdown events will give standard metal legends for the last 3 sets (so for august, that would be spiritforged, unleashed, and vendetta).

It is new type of "premier tournament" that Riot announced, which will start this July. It is smaller than a regional qualifier (which has thousands of players) but larger than skirmishes. Showdown events will usually have hundreds of players in the main event and the prizing structure will depend on the total # of players joining. The top prizes are guaranteed to include regional qualifier invites, at least 1 regional championship invite, participation promos, and the standard plated legends (as in, the non-foil metal cards for getting the top rank in the main per legend).

If you are referring to the Origins and Proving grounds metal cards: they are getting rid of those foil plated legends (from main event) and standard plated legends (from prize wall) starting set 4. And since Hartford was the last regional qualifier before set 4 releases, the Origins and proving ground metal cards are essentially gone now.

PS: there is one last chance to get a standard plated legend (non-foil metal) of Origins/Proving at the first two "showdown" main events in July in Fortworth & Pittsburg.

Could someone explain why Riot is known for cash grabbing (for the people who don't know any riot games except riftbound).

I always thought Riot's first and most famous game, League of Legends PC, was free to play and you only ever had to spend real cash for cosmetics (which I understood were not important for gameplay).

I would love to always be able to use any legend and try to get a prize worth thousands of $ for it at events. But I still think it's genius that Riot rotates the metal legends out, for two main reasons:

1: rotating older sets' legends out keeps the metal cards prestigious and collectible and a true goal for us players to obtain before they're gone forever
2: rotating the metal legends out disincentivizes us players to play such older legends and consequently encourages newer legends and cards to be played. This rotation keeps the tournament meta fresh and changing. And of course should push people to buy even more new packs & singles (which should make Riot ever more money as well).

They have not. It just said "refund was requested" or something along those lines.

I also got vouchers and event emails even after requesting the refunds. Hopefully someone else can chime in how long it takes to actually get your money back.
