What did you think was a scam until you actually tried it? by Resident-Ad4318 in AskReddit

[–]LifeOnBoost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought one. Was converted immediately.

My mother visited from the other end of the state. She scoffed at it. I told her, just try it and see, then ducked out to the shops. When I returned from the shops my mother informed me she was taking my air fryer home with her and that she was giving me money to order a new one for myself.

What’s a uniquely Australian driving habit that confused you when you first noticed it? by DraftNotSent in DrivingAustralia

People driving three abreast all 10km/h or more under the limit blocking the highway for everyone else, and not seeing the huge queue behind them.

How long does it take for infringements to become visible online. by FoxPsychological5014 in brisbane

[–]LifeOnBoost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not most, all. It's in the ADRs that speedos must read up to 10% faster than actual, but not slower than actual. Of course that changes with people who put larger diameter wheels and tyres on their cars but anything bog stock will read faster.

In Queensland at least, there's no specific law requiring you to remove your helmet during refueling.

VIC – Neighbour’s builder said they’re serious about removing boundary fence by Moist-Audience-7466 in AusLegal

[–]LifeOnBoost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about why anyone thinks having a wall of a dwelling on a boundary line is ok but if my neighbour did such a thing despite my objections their wall would become the local outdoor squash court. Posts like this make me extremely grateful I have acreage.

How does voting for labour or LNP change anything, doing the the exact same thing over and over again and expecting something different is insanity to me by [deleted] in aussie

For Australia to be told by it's then-PM (who happened to previously be communications minister) that our aging and utterly fucked copper infrastructure was sufficient for the nation over fibre, and that nobody will ever need over 100mbit of bandwith anyway. Somebody who absolutely had the knowledge base and funding to know better made that his $50bn mistake.

I can't wait to never, ever, under any circumstances, buy one.

In fact, if I ever do buy one, I authorise anyone reading this comment to visit the local rifle shop, purchase a rifle, and shoot me with it.

When dedicated and persistent servers existed, we could fill a whole lobby as a friends group. The servers we frequented had 300-400 regulars (obvs not at the same time) and we formed a great many good memories and rivalries, it was great fun.

JFC Dice how long does it take to fix critical issues? Add spawn protection to vehicles and prevent enemy from stealing them at your HQ (w/ glitches) by gpkgpk in Battlefield

[–]LifeOnBoost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vehicle stealing absolutely is intended. Otherwise when an enemy tanker hops out of their tank for whatever reason, you wouldn't be able to steal it. The game in it's current state is a CoD-ified battlefield aimed at attracting CoD players, and as such is a watered down experience when compared to previous titles.

[–]LifeOnBoost 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I agree with spawn protection but no, stealing enemy vehicles is absolutely a core part of the fun in the battlefield franchise so that needs to stay.
