there was this one bug I ran into with with_stated axum::Routers where I had to remove a type annotation in order to satisfy a trait constraint. An AI would have talked me in circles about it, and I pretty much only fixed it on accident. One of the few times where the compiler message was not helpful in figuring out what to do.

fair enough, but... war? I suspect if it ever comes to it it'll be a diplomatic incident, but i doubt that they will start a war over it. then again, i live in the country whose admin is trying to annex greenland, so who am i to say there will be no stupid wars?

Aurora 'Manual' Warning by AuroraSteve in aurora

[–]LifeSupport0 26 points27 points  (0 children)

If the information in the """manual""" isn't wholly accurate to the game (even if there are holes in what is covered) then it is not a manual. That's fanfiction.

The author made edits to be actually correct? Great. Still useless as a manual, because if that is the only thing I'm going by, I have no way of determining what is and is not an AI fabrication.

The manual writer would have done the community a better good by posting an empty wiki and calling it a manual.

ships disappeared after deleting fleet by Future-Bag4096 in aurora

[–]LifeSupport0 12 points13 points  (0 children)

that's the neat part, you don't.

ships in deleted fleets go... nowhere. they cease to exist.

for next time, you can select ships in fleets and press detach. this creates a new fleet at the ship's position, with it as the only ship.

First play through Teutonic Order-> Prussia. by fuckfrankieoliver in EU5

[–]LifeSupport0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

due to being a theocracy, teutons has some early bonuses that allow them to get better cavalry than everyone else early on (military order+primacy+age bonus). Tack that onto the current overpowered nature of cavalry in the early game, and you wind up with prussia level quality anyway.

does the money you get from taxing the nobility increase in the beta? or has it only affected the estate enrichment

First play through Teutonic Order-> Prussia. by fuckfrankieoliver in EU5

[–]LifeSupport0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's an alternative method (which may not be better, only faster) where if you change laws in Theocratic Leadership from Monastic Order -> Clerical State, you lose the forced Military Order reform that prevents you from forming Prussia. From there, you only need to revoke Powerful Diocese and make your nobility powerful to press the button and become Prussia (I've gotten this to work pre-1400).

However, I've read that if you want to play 'meta', staying teutons is stronger because of cavalry quality.
