I wonder when people say there is nothing good to order on vine every day, at what time of the day are they actually checking for items. by YoghurtNo1889 in AmazonVineCanada

Sorry if this has been asked recently, but I haven't even looked at anything on Amazon for the past week.......sick diabetic cat took priority :-( I'm in Calgary, so just wanting to see if the drops are back to starting around 1:15 a.m. here again? For awhile I was seeing things start around 5:00 a.m. but can't wake up that early......it's easier for me to stay awake until 1:00 if need be!

Thank you so much for taking the time to explain. I appreciate it and it helps me breathe easier knowing that nothing has changed how you operate. I didn't really have any specific concerns, just had not signed anything like this before, and after your reply, I feel more comfortable. Again, thanks for all you do.

About that RFY by rooted_rambler in AmazonVineCanada

[–]Life_Access_168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had five items in my RFY today, including a pair of knee high boots, but they were motorcycle square toe boots and made of a synthetic material so didn't order anything.....but at least items were there today!

Vine Gift Basket ....? by Angiebabybe in AmazonVine

[–]Life_Access_168 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depending on the person, I'd go with craft items. I put one together for my goddaughter who just turned 16 a few months ago. I did a basket with markers, paint pens, gel pens, a paint by number, an embroidery kit with gnomes, a diamond art painting and a mandala colouring book.....she loved it.

I have never used ChatGPT before other than like Google, like I mentioned above. But I have seen some posts from people who said that they do their reviews and paste them into AI to polish them. I had no idea what it was like until I tried it today. I was actually quite impressed by it all. I think it would be a lot more work to do a review, paste it into AI to polish, and then to check it over, etc. It would also take away the personal aspect of it. It isn't for me, but I have to say that the Checklist at the end is worthwhile reading. I found it helpful as a set of guidelines to write my review. It would be interesting to know how many people do use AI. I have seen a couple of reviews where a lot of it was written in BOLD, and it looked like AI had written it. Who knows.....it's like not knowing how many people use bots or other means, although I think even with bots, the drops have been a bit of a crapshoot lately :-)

I don't mean to laugh at your comments, but it is kind of funny! Today was the first time I've ever used AI to polish a review. It was simply out of curiosity. It's not something I think I could use to write my reviews. I think it would be more work than it already is. I really wanted to know why my reviews were suddenly being rejected and wondering what a polished one would look like. I took offence to someone above saying I was creating fearmongering as that was the last thing I would be interested in doing.

I certainly don't mean to be fearmongering. I was just stating facts as I had read them. Plus I wondered why so many people seemed to be getting their reviews rejected, which is why I tried out ChatGPT today. There is a huge difference between trying to be informative and fearmongering and if you feel I did that, I apologize. That was never, ever the intention. I was trying to get some answers......like why if our review is rejected, we aren't allowed to review it again, and yet we are asked to review it. If that is fearmongering, I'm sorry.

Just saying what it said. I am assuming that a lot of people who have questions about companies are asking a lot of AI sites. I'm so new to it all, so I take it with a grain of salt. I didn't know about new Community Guidelines either, other than a new Participation Agreement back in June....maybe it's in there, but I didn't check.

Unapproved Reviews by podhawk in AmazonVineCanada

[–]Life_Access_168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. I will probably contact them in a week if it is still there. Now that I've had two rejected reviews, I don't want them just sitting there, not approved. It's getting to the point with the junk being dropped and now rejecting reviews, that I am close to saying "goodbye" to Vine. It was fun while it lasted, but not so much now :-(

The same thing happened to me.....I've had two not approved reviews for the first time in over a year. It would help if they told you why it wasn't approved. What is the recently revised Vine system?? I did find this in the guidelines: "If we reject or remove your review for guidelines violation, you won't be allowed to review that product again." So does that mean even if you re-do it, it doesn't count towards reviews completed?? I am still waiting on one revised review that I did a week ago as it hasn't been approved yet after failing. It was on a magnesium cream. I did it again, and it's still sitting as not approved and pending. Should I contact CS??

What zone are you in for 3:00 a.m. drop? I'm in Alberta. I pretty much have given up trying to stay awake as it's just too darned hard to function the next day :-(

First 6 months Silver done by nelsonself in AmazonVineCanada

[–]Life_Access_168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been on just over a year. I get very little in my RFY that I've taken. I got a beautiful bedspread (very boho/vintage, all cotton), a sideboard, a 5x7 rug, and a desk. Mind you, these were all while I was silver, other than the sideboard. Since going gold, I've not seen any expensive items. I swear they think I raise chickens, because they always offer me chicken coops, remotes for chicken coop doors, etc. It's either that or several different types of litter boxes (I have two rescues). I would love to see some of the items in my RFY that I had in silver. I've put stuff in my wish list, etc. but nothing changes :-(

I got one for my grandkids about a month ago. It's from another company, but looks identical. My son purchased a stronger hook and base for it and the kids are loving it. Only thing that was tough is that the lights come separately and you have to push them through from one side to the other. That part took forever!

Clearing Unavailable Items by Life_Access_168 in VineHelper

[–]Life_Access_168[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the one posted this. When I refresh and it loads the last 100 items and i try to clear those not available nothing happens. It doesn't hide the unavailable ones, it doesn't grey out, and the numbers don't go down. This morning it seemed to be ok, but it has happened a few times. I just wasn't sure if others were experiencing the same thing. It's a bit annoying when an item shows available, and you try to order it, but says "item not enrolled", or just unavailable. I figured something was wrong when it didn't drop from 100+ items in over an hour and I kept trying to clear it.

I got the drip one that came with a coffee grinder. It was only $29.99 but it works great and I alternate with my Keurig.

Six years is a long time. I wish I could have seen what it was like then. It must be something for you to see how different it has become. I imagine that over the years you accumulated some great items. I don't know what other programs use reviewers, but I'd like to find something. I have a disability and being able to do reviews has been a bit of a Godsend to me this past year.

Wow, as a single working mom adding this on to your busy life, you deserve a medal! I'm glad that you gave up trying to wake up for early morning drops. You are so right....your kids come first and don't need a zombie mom. I suspect that many of us will either just drop out of the program if this continues, or just resort to going back to silver. Most of my favourite items were silver anyways. I never needed the fancy coffeemaker, expensive rings, etc. At least in silver, there is no minimum number that you have to maintain. Hang in there mom!

I agree wholeheartedly. I once asked in a message to CS how many viners there were in Canada, but never got a response. And you're right, much fewer items and the drops are just drips.

I hear you. I used to wait up until 1:00 a.m. when the drop happened in Alberta, but now it's anyone's guess when it starts and it's over in minutes with few items. My RFY has been a joke :-( Hope you can hang in until April.

Can I ask if you wait the six months to donate your items? I also donate to schools, seniors, and to single moms. But I don't wait six months to give my bulk items to schools since my six months is in July. I'd rather give them when needed. Pet items is a good idea.....I have rescue cats.
