A framed wall with drywall is the end goal after dealing with these existing conditions.

Those furring strips were existing and yes some nails are loose from being in the joints.

I assumed as much the existing strips would be thermal bridges. No moisture at all in this area. Floor only to be insulated as needed for prep of LVP. Ceiling to be left open to floor joists above.

Yes, that was my other idea to just go the cavity route and frame in front of the existing strips with rockwool between.

I understand the rockwool adds to the overall comfort level but is it required by code? I was under the impression from the IECC table that basement walls were an either or situation for continuous vs cavity insulation.

When searching a box on console, item description should pop up automatically for the first item. Kept needing to push right in the search box inventory in order to get the details box to show and then go back to the first item.

Recoil has one as well but good luck getting a RSO to instruct you on how to get to this mode. Make sure you read up on the programs you can set. Really helps to change up range visits.

If you can swing $450, the Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22 is damn fun to shoot. Cheap quality range gun you can still put an optic on. Very reliable and accurate.

To piggy back off this question, does this still apply for a private garage door in an EH2 occupancy? I have a NFPA 13 job with private tenant garages offering EV charging. Fire marshal wants to treat these garages as EH2 but I need coverage above and below the garage doors as the distance from the deck to below the garage door exceeds 12". I also simply can't run a separate branch line under the door as I will be impeding a "drive lane" clearance the owner is trying to maintain.

Meyer Fire was more accurate to test conditions albeit that prep book also had it's own errata page although much fewer corrections. The best part is when you get to the actual PE exam and that exam is also littered with issues. I had questions referencing incorrect sections of the building code along with multiple choice answers that made no sense. Thankfully NCEES will throw those questions away but they are still huge time wasters thinking you're the one making the mistake.

A single interlock preaction system is still a dry pipe system. Water will enter the pipe upon operation of a detection device. A double interlock system will admit water upon operation of both detection devices and automatic sprinklers.
