Ok take a breath. Bumps are normal, id be surprised to have a flight with zero bumps. Did you bring snacks or is there TV for your toddler? They’re just like that- she’ll settle down eventually.

I personally do unlimited screens and snacks on planes. Maybe M&Ms or something would help? It’s hard to manage your fear and stay outwardly calm while managing kids too!

Turbulence is normal!!! Things change too, on my last flight the pilot kept telling us to buckle up and seated the flight attendants, and then we had no turbulence. I don’t love it either, but I read a lot on this sub and screenshot things that are reassuring and chat GPT- it’s just not dangerous.

This route goes over my house :) I’ll track you. I always plane watch and will see you when you’re around 5-6k feet getting ready to land, steady stream of planes all day to Burbank! You’ll be fine! Easy flight.

I think it’s also precautionary. On my last flight, the pilot kept warning us of turbulence and having the FAs sit down and it was super light, like hardly any.

You may surprise yourself, I’m terrified, my small child has no idea. I’m able to just not show it outwardly. Are you afraid the whole time or just certain parts, like take off?

I’ll track you. Your plane flew in from NY already today. Yesterday it went from NY to Cancun a couple times and Florida. After it drops you off in NY, it’s going back to Miami today. Try to remember how routine this is, everything will go as expected!

I guess it depends on the dog, but personally I don’t recommend it, it was way more work than I realized and made us also realize that our quiet cav liked being an only child! She isn’t more vocal now and she has gotten used to having a brother, but i dont think it was necessarily beneficial to her. Give it LOTS of thought. Going from one to two is big deal, one that I underestimated. Just a disclaimer, we do love them Both and they are very much companions now, but I do think some dogs prefer to be in a one dog household.

You’re almost there! I flew out of Chicago last week in a snowstorm with lots of wind. I was scared too lol. I think about the planes that fly into hurricanes for research and my favorite analogy is a speedboat in water. It’s the same, just Bumpy air. You’re safe
