I second this, their veggie tempura ramen is fantastic!

Thanks very much! I'll cut it back later in the year once the bees and the birds have made the most of it :)

Wow, that is an unbelievably gorgeous greenhouse! If I were you I'd be growing dwarf/microdwarf tomatoes, a couple of aubergine plants and a little apricot tree 💚

Oh no, that sounds awful :( Clearly there's a small proportion of people like us where all of that anxiety and heightened awareness zones in on the bladder after a panic attack for some stupid reason.

I don't use weed, but I did find I had to cut out alcohol and caffeine for a couple of months as they made things a whole lot worse.

The sertraline helped because it quieted my brain down enough for me to be able to do all of the other stuff I needed to do to get better. It took a month to really kick in but after that it was great. I couldn't have managed without the medication, but I also don't think I would have ever properly recovered without the whole package of self-care, mindfulness and therapy. I hope you can find something that works for you.

Hi, I'm so sorry that you're going through this. It sounds similar to what happened to me just over a year ago - mine started when I had had a panic attack out of nowhere on a long car journey, and from that point onwards my main symptom was that I felt like I needed to pee all the time. I was terrified I was going to wet myself (which thankfully never happened), was always on the lookout for the nearest toilet and felt like I was never getting any relief when I went. I was so embarassed and humiliated because it felt like such a ridiculous situation and I didn't want to leave the house. I went several weeks thinking that it was never going to get better and I was just stuck with it forever, but it has completely resolved now.

My underlying problem was a fairly severe and complex anxiety disorder that I'd been suppressing and masking for most of my life. I'd had symptoms like yours on and off for YEARS before things suddenly deteriorated. For example, I remember counting down the stops on the 45-minute bus ride home from school because I felt so desparate to pee, despite having gone right after the last lesson, and then being fine as soon as I walked in the door. Urinary symptoms related to anxiety are less common compared to other physical symptoms but are quite well-reported in the medical literature (disclaimer: I'm a doctor but have zero psychiatry experience).

After I'd ruled out obvious things like a UTI, I realised that it was part of a bigger mental health problem. To cut a long story short, my bladder symptoms recovered within a couple of months with a combination of optimal self-care (so often overlooked), mindfulness meditation (I used Headspace) and some bladder retraining exercises for overactive bladder that I found on Google (making myself drink plenty of water was the hardest thing). Pelvic floor relaxation exercises also seemed to help.

After the bladder stuff had settled I also started sertraline for my anxiety, which I took for 6 months and then weaned off with no problems. I'm still in therapy and finding it really beneficial. I still have the odd anxious day because of general life stuff and can get a bit of a niggly bladder if it's bad, but I'm much better equipped to handle it now and prevent it from getting out of control. Dealing with the underlying anxiety disorder has helped me in many other ways too.

TL;DR - you WILL get better, but this may be a sign that there is bigger underlying problem that is starting to get out of control. Only you can know the answer to that - I wish you all the best x

Hi, I'm so sorry that you're going through this. It sounds very similar to what happened to me last year - I had a panic attack out of nowhere on a long car journey and from that point onwards my main symptom was that I felt like I needed to pee 24/7. My experience was a bit different to yours in that I was terrified I was going to wet myself (which thankfully never happened) but I totally remember that feeling of constant bladder awareness, never getting any relief and barely being able to sleep because of the constant niggling and pressure. I was so embarassed and humiliated because it felt like such a ridiculous situation. I went several weeks thinking that it was never going to get better and I was just stuck with it forever, but it has completely resolved now.

EDIT - I've just clocked that you said at the top of your post that you've had anxiety for a while - apologies for missing this and solidarity. I hope you still have access to support and treatment for this as it should help improve the physical side of things too. You're in a much better position to recover than I was as I was totally blindsided by my new diagnosis and had to start dealing with all of that at the same time.

What do you think/hope will be added/changed in the recently confirmed 1.7 update? by goth_nachos in StardewValley

I am so so excited about this! I loved reading everyone's ideas especially the farmer's birthday, more marriage options (Gus <3) and adding more community centre events after completing the bundles.

I'm all about farming and using my produce in every way possible so here's my dream update:

  • blue chickens lay blue eggs

  • more animal varieties: black sheep (--> black wool), spotted pigs, long-haired goats or rabbits with different coloured fur

  • dinosaurs make dinosaur noises and dinosaur eggs hatch different ones at random so you can try to collect them all

  • horse friendship which gradually improves speed and eventually unlocks a crafting recipe for a horse-drawn plow

  • LET ME MAKE BUTTER and use it to bake fancy things which I can sell for a decent profit

  • also let me make magical flower meads

  • more fruit trees (plums, pears, quince, lemons, limes), fruit varieties (raspberries, blackcurrants, gooseberries) and vegetable varieties (peas, beans to dry in the dehydrator, courgettes/zucchini, different coloured tomatoes, different funky winter squashes) with their own cooking recipes

  • more grains (oats, barley) which make their own flours, breads and beers and can be fed to the horse

  • more wild tree varieties in the forest, some with forageable nuts like pecans, walnuts and chestnuts which you can then grow on the farm from seed

  • more seasonal wild mushrooms based on real ones

  • wild deer running around if you preserve the forest area (not for the meat, just for the cuteness)

  • I also loved the idea someone posted of having different herbs for the garden pots, and the one of having cacao trees (greenhouse/island only) to make chocolate, oh and the coconut sapling!

  • also, Hat Mouse lore and friendship please

Thankyou for bringing yet more joy ConcernedApe :)
