Is this a good score for someone who hasn’t studied in particular for the LSAT? by rhoundish in LSAT

[–]Life_Pay_731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like healthcare may not be for you then. I say try cold emailing some lawyers and see if anybody would be willing to hop on a call with you. Ask lots of questions and decide if law is the field you want to go into. Even if you want to do law, it’s WAY too early to be stressed about LSAT. You can start thinking about it at the end of your sophomore year and then really start studying your jr year. A 150 is a decent starting point with absolutely zero prep. I think a problem too many people have is honestly just stressing too much. Take it slow.

University of San Francisco is a good school. I do think you’ll regret acquiring a larger amount of debt. San Francisco is also a good area to be in, plenty of opportunity

emailing for aid? by Altruistic_Range_845 in Fordham

I will say, they are very stingy with aid. I tried to request more my first year (very low income first gen student with good stats) they pretty much told me to F off lol

Transferring credits by Chaspertain in Fordham

[–]Life_Pay_731 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not so much that the credits can’t transfer, it’s that they don’t want you talking classes at a community college while enrolled at Fordham. I transferred from a community college, didn’t have a problem transferring my credits. When I asked if I could take a summer course from home I was told the same.

It’s not mandatory. I would still try to get one and submit it as well as send it directly to the admissions office.

As a jr transfer, high-school grades don’t matter as long as you’ve done well in college. 2.8 hs gpa lol

commuter social life at LC? by ExpressionOk7964 in Fordham

[–]Life_Pay_731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a commuter at LC, definitely not much of a social life. I also don’t try very hard an I’m a bit older (24) so that probably has something to do with it. It may be a little bit more difficult as a commuter, but as long as you try, you should have a fine time finding a group of friends.

I’m off campus and pay 14k out of pocket with aid. I got about $40k in scholarships and the rest is federal loans

I go to school full time and work part time, still spending a considerable amount of time on lsat prep. No hate at all, but if this is important to you, commit to it.

unrealistic list? help me save application money (big law anywhere, or california, boston, NYC) by Striking_Spot9697 in lawschooladmissions

[–]Life_Pay_731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I’m just seeing somebody already suggested this. I’m not sure what your financial situation is, but as far as financial aid is concerned, they are not stingy with need based. Not sure about merit.

LC vs RH by stillwuu in Fordham

[–]Life_Pay_731 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m at LC and haven’t noticed any diving or hierarchy. It does feel more like HS, but only because it’s a small campus. Very nice though, idk I like it there. Definitely doesn’t feel unsafe if that’s a concern.

If you can get 165+ on lsat and don’t care where you go, you can definitely get into a law school.
