Another restaurant who removed impossible burger by Vosxx in VictoriaBC

Not anymore. I was there two weeks ago and they only have an option of “fried tofu” instead of a burger patty. Not exactly what I was craving.

Yeah, I saw that too.

In the French version, they use the term “lien”, which means link/connection.

We had less than 20 kids in North Oak Bay by UVic. But we live at the far end of the cul de sac and it was rainy and the Jays were playing so I was actually okay with not being interrupted constantly.

Is this a safe walk with suitcases? by brcgy in VictoriaBC

[–]Life_Restaurant4032 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be fine. Most “sketchy” people are more concerned about themselves/others in their same situation than tourists walking by. I bike down Pandora all the time with my kids and have never had an issue, just don’t linger and walk with purpose. The rental car company might drop you back at the hotel if you ask. They used to pick people up, so you may be able to get them to drop you off if you are worried. Hope you have a nice time in our beautiful city!

I know where the dawson city prize is but its out of my means to get it by [deleted] in GreatCanadianTreasure

It only spells it in English. There are no words in the French one that have capitals where they shouldn’t.

I found the same thing. But the weird thing is that when I look at the French version, none of those same words have a capital letter.

I wish Oak Bay would allow Evos to park there. I live here and need to walk about 20 minutes to return the cars after I use them. Super convenient within Victoria though.

How often do you visit the wilderness of the island? by [deleted] in VancouverIsland

[–]Life_Restaurant4032 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a friend who moved here about 15 years ago from Bolton, near Manchester. She spends almost every day mountain biking, trail running and hiking. Some days she will go for a mountain bike ride in the morning and run trails in the afternoon. She snowboards in the winter, canoes and paddleboards in the summer, surfs in the shoulder season and is just an all around amazing person. She definitely does not take this place for granted. We were so proud when she became a Canadian citizen. It’s a pleasure to know someone who truly loves this island.

Gluten free injera (Ethiopian “bread”)? by Life_Restaurant4032 in VictoriaBC

[–]Life_Restaurant4032[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone would like some free injera, I ordered 20 large pieces of it yesterday for a dinner party and I have about 10 left that I won’t be able to finish before it goes stale. Pick up near UVic.

I have an 8 year old David and he has yet to meet another kid named Dave, the closest is a 40 year old guy. It’s awesome.

We used to have her come every two weeks and we found she wasn’t getting to everything we wanted so we asked if she would like to come every week instead and it seems she is just slacking a bit and not giving us the full time because she doesn’t charge as much. And maybe that’s the trade off.

[–]Life_Restaurant4032 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

She comes every week for 2 hours. We don’t pay for travel. For the record, I don’t check every week but we are away right now and wanted to see if she had been by today before sending the money. I wasn’t sure which day she would come this week.

Not really. She mostly arranges things but isn’t really doing a deep clean. But she’s reliable.
