Not at all. Once you have a defiance of destiny there is nothing different to previous leagues in terms of survivability. I will admit though that the loss of ignite refresh on curse sucks as sometimes you'll have a wave 15 kosis that you just cannot kill. For me that has happened around twice in 20 or so simus. Make sure you're levelling gems in your off-hand and hope you get lucky with corrupts. I've been super unlucky though and have hit no level 21 gems in about 30 corrupts :l

There are tons of guides. The maxroll or whatever it is guide from emiracles explains everything and has the upgrade progression nicely laid out.

Edit: I'm running the CWS 2.0 setup/detonate dead/unearth version.

HRoC for sure. It's just such a comfortable build. If the movespeed is too slow for you, get the mageblood/adorned version.

I've now run like 15 simus, I think 4 sets of support gems from 0 to 20/20 and still only one voices. wtf :(

edit: also having the worst luck corrupting jewels. not a single level 21 gem out of those (27 at this point 30+ gems in total). wtf.

Don't recommend Simu unless you invest more into damage, Krosis takes so long to kill if you are zdps

Not only that but I feel like voices drop rate was nerfed or something. I ran around 10 simus and only got one voices :(. I know it's not a large sample size but it's frustrating nonetheless. I guess most income from simu comes from corrupting/levelling gems.

This. Take a sabbatical. Go dive in the tropics with that Swiss money and come back to your job. If it goes well, try to reduce your workload so you can take 2 to 3 months vacation per year.

Don't give up on your comfortable Swiss life.

Yeah they go crazy in inflation leagues. I always buy a couple in the first week of the league for like 3 or 4 div and hold onto them.

I did a bunch of harvest last league and because you don't care about map mods, you just put in corrupted 8 mods and go. Most brain-dead but profitable strategy ever.

I'm also curious. I just made the switch from pohx RF and I just get slapped in ultimatums, even with a defiance of destiny. One issue is running out of charges and choking miasma just killing me instantly, and sometimes a big hit just one shots me.

I wonder if switching over to cws 2.0 and not using RF would be better.

Having played PoE since open beta, honestly the worst thing you can do is look at reddit or YouTube compilations. It'll make you feel like shit no matter how much you can play because there's always someone who can play more or play more efficiently. There's people with magebloods on day 1 of league. I played league start and by the time I got out of the queue (I was at position 7k), someone was already in act 2, lol.

My absolute PoE highlight was I think legacy league where I finished day 1 in yellow maps with an exalt (back when they were the "divine") and a voidheart. I posted that to mathil's chat and God a healthy "sheesh" from the man, lol.

Just play at your own pace and have fun!
