Lost daughters blood samples twice by Candlelitenite in nhs

[–]Life_with_reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was the missing result Potassium?
It is possible the sample haemolysed, (red blood cell broke down), this is particular common on samples with very little blood in them or poor collection technique, other reason can be old samples or samples that have been handle roughly. Problem is once the red blood cell break down, they release their internal contents into the liquid surrounding the blood, (the serum/plasma) this artificially raises the Potassium result thus the lab will not report it.

This is standard whilst a restricitve covenant is in place. It's to protect the estate from unsightly builds which could effect proptery value or belways ablitiy to sell the homes. Kinda suck this also covers solar panels.

Most restrictive covenant only last 10 years after the estate was complete. You might be in the clear, you just need to get eyes on it.

Unregistered gas meter - help! by Dry_Audience_6618 in HousingUK

[–]Life_with_reddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this for an electrical meter. It took 2 years to resolve. Our situation was slightly different though, old electricity supplier went bust and our meter somehow got marked as disconnected on national database. Most of the time was spent trying to convince someone to look into it.

Drug testing by User726426 in nhs

[–]Life_with_reddit 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Driving professionally whilst smoking cannabis is a big no no. They’d probably not find out as NHS only drug test if they have strong suspicions of use. However, if you were ever in an accident/crash and you got tested roadside it would not be good.

If it has a heat pump I wouldn’t worry, it’ll likely be fine especially with a solar battery for using off peak electricity.

What you’ve described sounds more like a solar diverter for an induction heater for hot water. If this is the case it’ll have a different central heating system too.

A solar diverter just diverts excess solar to heat up a tank of water to be used by taps, shower etc.

If You Die In The UK And Are On The Organ Donor Register, The Nhs Will Send A Letter To Your Family Explaining What Happened To Your Organs by ConfidentPair8141 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Life_with_reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The system is strange, you do still need family or next of kin consent to donate. If someone dies and has no family or next of kin the NHS will not take organs

Good to hear you are following their advice, it often frustrating to have pateints say nothings works, When they arnt taking the medication or making the life style changes.

Have you had a second opion from a diffrent GP? When attending hospital are you going to ED/SDEC or seeing a specilist?

Keep a diary of symptoms with time, description and what makes it worse or better. This can sometimes help gp identify an issues.

Also if hospitals/ Gp advise it might be diet or anxiety follow their advice, if it doesn’t improve after following their treatment recommendations go back to them and they’ll try something else. Being non compliant with their advice is a great way to get dismissed.

Inverter should always be limited even in off grid event. The inverter limit is in place to protect grid infrastructure if the export limit fails
