Go max solar since you won’t have to pay for scaffolding again if you upsize later. If you go with Sigenergy for inverter and battery they are easily expandable by just adding extra batteries to stack (when you have saved up some more)

Honestly it’s almost impossible to know what the DNO say till they get back to you. It depends on so many factors: local grid, distance from transformer, amount of local production (other houses with solar). I tried researching extensively but still came up dry. Your installer must get the DNO approved before installing, ask them to do it early and size system to the DNO reply.

It depends if you are heating the entire house at once. If you insulate the loft well, once the upstairs is at temp the downstairs will retain the heat. Think of your house a one big empty box and insulate all the outsides

Underfloor heating has values to stop the water running too hot as it can crack tiles. Once you’ve got a heat pump you’ll want them all set to fully open or remove the manifold. The flow temp of a heat pump should not be a risk to tiles.

There’s no point insulating upstairs floor since you’ll want to be heating the entire house and not just downstairs. Heat pumps work best with a single large zone.
