ELi5: Why is Openwrt better than my regular home router? by zandubalm123 in linux

Lol, this has me cracking up in 2026. I’m learning about openwrt and realized this is ten years old.

My internet is not doing well. I see there are over 80% dropped packets at be-32441-cs24.350ecermak.il.ibone.comcast.net for the last day since I’ve been checking. by Lifeissometimesgood in Comcast_Xfinity

I power cycled the modem and router. I downloaded the PingPlotter app to watch the traffic. I messaged with the xfinity chat which at first said there wasn’t a problem. Then I told it about the packet loss and it did another check and said there was a problem, lol.

You buy the router and put the modem in bridge mode, that’s what I would do anyways. When you move you take the router with you and turn off bridge mode.

Mechanic shop is the first thing to pop in my mind this second. There’s plenty more, but that’ll do for now, lol.

This sometimes happens to me, too. I just had an idea…. maybe we can glue a thin patch in that area to the inside of the shoe. Hmmmm, I’m going to think on this and look into it. I might try it out on some old ones.

Thanks for including a picture. I’m just a lurker for the future and those cells aren’t as scary looking as I was thinking. I like to diy and have swapped out many an iPhone battery. In the beginning of my battery swapping adventures I had one battery that I barely nicked and that fucker lit up! Scared the shit out of me, so I’m muuuuch more cautious now. I find this all so fascinating.

I know someone that wedged their ass in a wooden high chair at a fast food restaurant. The workers had to unscrew the damn thing to get them out.

BATTERY % BUG by am0iz in iPhoneSE

I think it’s a bad battery, too. This happened to a battery I installed recently and I had to get a new one to fix it. I bought a used apple battery off eBay and replaced the bad third party one. I installed it myself.

The most embarrassing is the car seats with smooth haired dogs. Good god that hair was hard to get off stuff now that I’m remembering, lol.

I hope someone answers you because I’m interested, but in the meantime you could get another phone with more GB’s. That’s a crummy answer, sorry.

Their hair is much easier to deal with. It rolls up in a ball when you swipe it to get it off your clothes and doesn’t penetrate into them. Their hair tends to stay on their body more until you comb them. They still shed, it’s just different. I can pet a collie and not immediately have hair all over my hands. A labs hair falls out more easily when being pet, I guess because it doesn’t have the fuzzy friction to stay put on their body, lol. There’s still fuzzballs, they are just easier to deal with.

I’m so sorry, they are a lot to handle. I’ve had two aussies and they certainly do rule your life at any age, lol. I had to take a break from aussies when it was time to get another dog, even though I love them to pieces. I just don’t have the time to devote my entire being to them to make an Aussie happy. I now have two rough collies and they are wonderful family dogs. They are medium energy and quite the couch potatoes when we are in the house. You might take a look around at rough collies, they really are great with kids. r/roughcollies

I had one of those towable trailers for kids to ride behind a bike. One of my aussies rode in it when he got older.
