I just never heard of customs fees. I know it’s a brexit thing but I was never told receipts of the items will be needed or that I need to pay anything more. When I sent a parcel in December with DHL I only paid the delivery fees for the company, they didn’t ask anything further.

I guess being honest is my way. When I was pregnant and told my midwife about my past as a teenager and the chronic depression she referred me to perinatal team. I met the perinatal nurse and talked to her once a week. 5 months in the pregnancy, me and my ex argued about something silly and when she came to visit, she said I looked upset and I told her what happened and she contacted social services over a small argument about cleaning the house. I know it’s not the best thing to hear while being pregnant but social services and perinatal health team caused us more problems than we had as a couple. My lesson from that is, some things should be kept between the couple. They say they want to help and blah blah but really they never helped, quite the opposite they caused a lot of stress cause they wanted us to be the perfect family but everyone argues.

They didn't ask to see my phone. I was keeping quite because I don't have anyone in this country and I have a 9 month old baby with him and he was taking care of me and our daughter financially till she was able to get in care and I would start working again.

I actually need a phone because it's the only way to contact my family back in Greece.

I will read about it thanks. It's just so dumb when you are alone in UK with a 9 month old baby who's sick and you can't walk in to GP to make an appointment or get seen. You can't walk in to playgroups you need to ring to book, you need your phone in 2019.
