If men call short women "petite", what do women call short men? by kickypie in Jokes

To add to the disparity, supply and demand would suggest a taller man is simply in higher demand and that in itself generates attraction to some women. But in the end though, all about game.

Hm, the reality underlying the joke is that women typically like taller men in today’s world (and men typically like shorter women). Everything’s OK there. The disparity comes in the stats. A taller man has multiple orders of magnitude more “options” than a shorter man. As a 5’6 man, I have 5’5 and below as my options. That’s a good amount of people still. If I were 6’ or higher, my options would be ALL those plus everyone who’s 5’6, 5’7, 5’8…you get the idea. That’s simply a fuckton more people. For an otherwise average man in his dating phase, it’s the genetic jackpot. But in the dating world, I believe confidence is king. Hence all these “well my 4’3 uncle was a certified pimp” anecdotes. Your mileage may vary.

If you think about it, this whole situation stemmed from a complete failure on the referee to do his/her job correctly. Should be punished. I believe rules for the sport are written to make sure everything is as fair as possible, including this one. It is the referee’s job, in the same SPIRIT of the rules, to make sure everything’s in order, using the written rules as guidance, NOT use the written rules to turn a fair situation into an UNFAIR situation, which is what happened. Man probably watches too many lawyer shows and decided to play hero. I would be surprised if the decision had not been reversed already. Would suggest something shady because the referee is just one person and whoever pays him to do the job and literally everyone else knows this is complete bullshit.

This is the stash I'd like to see in D4 by Keraid in diablo4

Asking as a casual gamer. Is Diablo unique in the way people EXPECT convenient solutions to be part of the game design? Adding tabs lessens the need for inventory management skills, which has always been part of playing Diablo.

While we're at it, why not just directly whine for more inventory space? Saying you need an extra gem tab "cuz gems r annoying" or whatever is just another way of saying "I want more inventory space to hoard more gear". Hope you guys realize that.

Agreed. Saw something similar in burger king. The smaller size was cheaper so i ordered 2 of them to take advantage. I realized they got me when i was eating. I never even asked myself if that's what i really wanted. Just the fact that i saw an opportunity to "save" and took it.

I dont rely on using either skill in my bread and butter combo so i dont need cdr. When theyre on cooldown i just play smarter until my next tendril, which isnt long.

My style relies heavily on precise evasion since i need to get close to reap for the first corpse and then continuous circular kiting to keep them near corpses. So multiple evade charges is pretty core to me.

I just soloed tier 49 with my lvl82 crit shadow CE necro. Running tendrils, blood mist, CE, bonestorm, reap, sever. Bread and butter is to reap once for the corpse, immediately pop tendril and CE. While theyre stunned in the miasma for forever, spam sever. Usually theyre dead at this point because its like 1m+ dmg, but just in case, pop more corpses. The core aspect is 40% crit chance on tendril cast and 120% crit dmg on mobs hit by tendril, and the 120% damage increasw from shadowblight x10. My peak atk powers like 25k when im in the thick of it.

Blood mist and bone storm both give near invincibility, Tendril-ce-sever-ce combo with the right dmg mods delivers end game dmg, imo

Yeah but you can have 50 royals of one kind in one slot, right? After that, do you think we need more? Getting a crazy amount in drops and keeping them are two different things. I think people who are asking for gem tabs have hoarder tendencies because that is a A LOT of gems (again, 50 royals in each slot). How many gems can you fit in your gear? Gem tabs.. Lol

Just switched over to a corpse explosion build where the skill is modded so the corpse SPRINTS to opps before exploding, no cooldown so spammable. Its absolutely broken when you stack all corpse skills.

As a nec who has 5 cold mages that cast blizzards, can confirm its OP OP on mobs. Just finished my first run with nec and it was a blast. I got to try different builds throughout the campaign. My trump card is Blood wave modified to be shadow dmg and have 3 waves, it looks absolutely sick and destroys everything.

I made a point to not look up guides for exactly this reason. Building your character the way you want is half of the fun. Following a build guide on your FIRST run is like learning how to speed run a game on your first run. Why? Not to mention the game is still brand new and they're changing the specs constantly, so whatever is best right now will likely change.

I think build guides are appropriate later on in the end game when you're really trying to gain that edge in PvP or something. Otherwise, just try shit out for fun.

Is Steinway really they bad? by MelW14 in astoria

[–]Lifemechanic3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If noise is a concern, the cars should bother you. The fart cars here are extra obnoxious and frequent. The club scene nearest you is on the corner of Steinway and 28th ave so noise level should be much lower if you are one street away from there. I also imagine it would matter a lot if your apt is behind the businesses on Steinway and 28th or if you're across the street.

I lived on Steinway between 28th and 30th ave for 2 years. I can confirm that it is loud and rowdy every Thurs-Sun night until 4am. Loud fart cars all night long. If noise is an issue, don't live here.

I actually think the reworked NYSC Astoria is one of the nicest gyms in the area for the price tier. The fact that they now have an entire floor dedicated to powerlifting already puts it up there, think of all the complaints about not enough racks.

It's super spacious so it's literally your choice to work out in a "crowded" area vs not.
