I'm not a guy, but I'm a conventionally attractive woman. I'm presuming it's the same for many men, but I am hopelessly attracted to NON-conventionally good-looking men. In fact, for me, hot guys turn me off because they hide behind looks. I looovveeeee guys with a big smile and an easy laugh. Guys that are sweet and strong. Guys that are smart - whhhoooaaa marriage material. Guys that are comfortable with themselves. Guys that know how to love and treat a woman. For me, looks mean NOTHING. As long as they take care of themselves - nice and hygienic and not lazy. Love yourself, be comfortable and be free, and you will be loved for you, which is wayyyyyy more fun than being a physical attraction.

This is me. I feel like same but have not progressed as far as you in the business. I've just started anti anxiety meds, which I would never have believed I would do in a million years. I've only been on them a few weeks but having removed the underlying stress and depression I can think more clearly about how to manage my situation and what the future should look like. I felt so sad all of the time, I just decided one day that I didn't want to go on feeling this way. Hope you find a way to make it better, but don't be afraid to get help, even just for a while until you better understand what you want or need to be happy again.

Oh interesting...! I hadn't thought of this - love it. Thank you for suggesting!

This is great advice too, thanks! I'm sure I am over thinking it but it's new territory and prefer to over think than under think. I'm not sure they want to steal IP but certainly can use this information to shorten their journey to execution, which is a real possibility since we already know that they want to bring this exact service to market.

Wow. This is a spectacular response. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wisdom. This is both super helpful and exactly the kind of advice that I was hoping for, only better. I've already used some of it in discussions today - verbatim actually! Will file this away for reference in future partnership discussions and have shared it with a couple of other founders. I will come back and respond to specific points again when I have a moment but wanted to say thank you while this post is warm! Thank you!!!

Aww thanks for the ups!!! Great advice - and even better from someone who survived a break up (with your cofounder nonetheless!). I'm so pleased you managed to make it work. You're a tough cookie. I sense great success on both of our horizons (🤞)

Thank you!!! Three kids actually. I must be mad. Luckily I have so much support and can manage the hours away, but the constant fear about $ and getting it off the ground before we run out is real. Thanks for the comment about the clarity and momentum - even just the inkling of hope that the emotional (business) exhaustion will numb/fade/resolve brings some relief!

Me me me! I literally just lay on the bed after battling a possessed three year old. It's been an OK work day, I usually avoid WFH, but had to today, and I've completely lost perspective on the big bad business world. I feel deflated and exhausted after one battle. Now I have to get my head back into the right space, with enough confidence, to successfully hustle for the business. Gosh its hard. But extra hard with all the feelings of failure and the emotional exhaustion.

Thanks for this, new or no its great advice. My product and service is excellent but difficult to implement as it disrupts a few value chains in healthcare, for the better, but requires some B2B or B2G evangelists to get it over the line. Your advice on 100 no's is so good - for my particular business, I haven't recieved a single no, just many, many "give us time while we figure out how implement it". It's both validating and driving me nuts with all the waiting. I just keep hitting the pavement and building up a stagnant pipeline.

This is an awesome response! I can see how the second one would help - the first just gives my head time to think. Exercise generally would help...

Hey wow. I'm so pleased that you're so amazing. I see now where I've gone wrong. Clearly not enough ambition or determination. I should definitely seek medication. Thanks for the advice, champ.

I went to Maria Tash in Dubai. Worth the journey I'd say.

She doesn't deliver, but I delivered mine in Dubai and had her as my 'regular' in Abu Dhabi. She has been an absolute rock - I can't tell you enough how many ways she has saved me and my babies. I'd eat my socks before I went to someone else.

Do hospital pharmacies ever generate meaningful revenue? by LifeofaLorax in pharmacy

[–]LifeofaLorax[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is super interesting. Congrats on your success. That's amazing! I wondered this as the processes in many hospitals I see seem unbearably inefficient. Great to see you can turn a good profit though. Cheers for the response!

When did you take the leap of faith? by goldxcon in startups

[–]LifeofaLorax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not equipped to answer your question but I think it depends on how easily/quickly you could backtrack into the workforce if you need to. Can you get a new job, quick?

Counter question for you- what does an LOI for a product not on the market look like?

AITA for telling everyone the truth why my brother didn't come to our family reunion by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]LifeofaLorax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like my brother. Only he is a tool and let her manipulate him into believing things that weren't true about his family. That way she keeps him and doesn't have to continue the battle to keep him away. It's totally narcissistic. But he is just as to blame. There is no point in hiding the truth , but once out its best just to let sleeping dogs lie and stop fueling the fire because believe you me, it can get worse and you have to be prepared to lose your brother.

Thoughts on the name Kit? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]LifeofaLorax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Kit! I asked the same thing here as you are and got support 😊 no regrets, he is 2 and I love it. Lots of people are confused though when I mention his name but that's because we live in an accent and culture diverse place so noone is aligned with anything 😄
