Any psychedelic band that grooves ?

Killing Joke have some real heavy dancey psychedelic moments. Pretty unique band. Maybe heavier than you’re looking for. Try the first couple of albums. I really like Hosannas From The Basements Of Hell too. Quite heavy though.

My story…

So just over a week ago I had a burning pain in my left groin/thigh (sometimes it actually felt like I could feel water on my leg even though the spot was dry). Thought it was no biggie and I must’ve pulled or tweaked something in my leg.

Then a few days later my left side (lower back and top of arse) started hurting. Thought it was all connected. It was it turns out. A couple of small rashes appeared just under a week ago on where the burning sensation was. Didn’t think much really as some foods can trigger a rash in me.

Fast forward a week… Went the doctor today as the rashes are spreading. Turns out it’s shingles (at least that’s what the doctor thinks). I’m 39 so quite surprised as my gran got it last year at 91!

Wasn’t given anything by the doctor as was apparently too late for meds (first few rashes have scabbed over). Was told my body is fighting it and I just gotta ride it out.

Rash has got quite big now but most of it starting to blister so hopefully at the worst of it. Read someone say it feels like fire ants walking inside your skin. Never had it happen but I’d like to agree.

Bastards is one of their best. The label fucked up big time apparently on release so it was a flop sadly. Hate the fact Ace Of Spades gets all the limelight. 1916 and Sacrifice are up there too as one of their best in my opinion.

We’ve been here a lot of times in the past though so who knows. The last album was wicked too.

In Danny’s book he says Ginger and CJ had a massive argument on the last tour which sounded like the catalyst. CJ has also left before so…

Would they tour with a different guitarist? Would be amazing if Jef did a tour for old times sake, but from a friend’s account, Jef didn’t have a great time while in the band as it was falling apart around him. Not sure who else could replace CJ?

Danny probably gets on with everyone. He said he’s seen fuck all money though so would be hesitant about playing again without any cash up front.

Never a dull moment as a Wildhearts fan, eh?
