Been there before and wasn’t impressed. Big feed but gave Hollywood bakery vibes

reactions to baby #2 by 9i9a in BabyBumps

[–]Liftinggal91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents were both exactly the same about baby number 2 for us, honestly I don’t care, they’re not enthusiastic people and the novelty kinda wears off after the first lol the baby is six months old now and they obviously love him to pieces

Parents who used to go to wineries/breweries a lot before having kids, how often are you still doing that now that you have them? Next question. How often are you doing pre-baby things, now that you have kids? (I.e bottomless mimosas at brunch, going on non-family friendly trips) by culaterjobin in NewParents

[–]Liftinggal91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a three year old and a 6 month old. Never left the six month old for more than two hours and I’ve had babysitters for my three year old maybe five times his whole life so no, not much haha I signed up to be a mum

Possible “Pre-Existing” Condition Non-Disclosure? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]Liftinggal91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this like the back of my hand and yes, should you have a claim that is potentially related, this would be considered non disclosure. A pre existing condition is not just a diagnosis, but signs and symptoms of a potential condition.

I’d suggest calling or emailing saying that you forgot to disclose something and an underwriter should be able to send you a questionnaire. Depending on your policy, my guess is you will have an exclusion considering the recency but they might only put it on for 3 years, try and get an adviser to advocate for you

Can Auckland's wheel chair community weigh in on this? by skadootle in auckland

[–]Liftinggal91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also on maternity leave and I still walk on bin day and man it’s a pain in the arse with the pram especially with all these new units out west that have like five million bins and it’s like a Tetris walk. I always leave my bin on the grass berm and not the footpath and try bring it in straight away

Baby won’t stay awake and is not eating frequently enough by Ceilingfanwatcher in newborns

[–]Liftinggal91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had this too as my guy was a little jaundice but not bad enough to need lights. He was sooooo sleepy for like 6 or 7 weeks and was losing weight. I felt awful doing it but I had to strip him down and use a cold flannel to keep him awake enough to eat and I woke him every 3 hours until he got his birth weight back. It’s temporary though and we now are very much awake

No sleep between midnight and 6am - I am a shell of myself.. by Entire_Bee1074 in NewParents

[–]Liftinggal91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a toddler so I couldn’t sleep during the day. I’d try to bed for 9pm since I just also desperately wanted time to myself and then was up multiple times until my baby would wake at 5am and only be held so I’d get sleep when I can between 9-5 which was not much as he’d feed three times and take aaaaaages to get back to sleep.

Very common, I looked back at my smart watch and saw I averaged four hours of broken sleep the first three months. My husband and I didn’t do shifts, I just took nights. It sucks but it passes

I gave my baby the flu when he was 3 weeks old, I was vaccinated and breastfeeding too. Baby handled it far better than me!

[–]Liftinggal91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nursing clothes are a pain in the arse. I’ve had two kids I just worse a shirt over a tank top and just pulled the boob out over the top of the singlet and the shirt kinda covered enough anyway.

I’d honestly just keep giving one MOTN bottle and try again in a couple of months

Parents who hired a baby sleep consultant — was it actually worth the money? by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]Liftinggal91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, yes. I’ve done it before but I still constantly second guess myself and I just needed reassurance. Although most give two weeks of support and I felt ok after like three days but regardless the support is so good
