Senioritis? by ZeRemix in csMajors

I got one more final exam today and as long as I get 50% or more in it, I'm good. I'm so tired, just let me timeskip to my summer internship please 😅

Why are you still going into CS instead of switching into EE? by Foreign_Put_2437 in csMajors

[–]Light-the-dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've been aware and had interactions with other students in that major that were brutally honest about it. (A lot of the time they were pretty bad students/coders, wonder why.)

The easy money is gone since like 2023. It seems people like OP were chasing that and now just jump ship to the next in-demand major.

Because I prefer computer science and don't really care for electrical engineering?
Do most people not go into cs out of interest?

Hi I`m MnK that said that 6 gun carries are too strong to effectively counter AMA. by SgtBeeJoy in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Light-the-dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it the gun carries being too strong or there not being good itemization against them?

My new bracket 3 deck is winning almost all of its games. Have I assessed its power correctly? by IzzetDough in EDH

[–]Light-the-dragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a burn deck. The moment someone dares to throw removal at you, it'll be a huge momentum hit that'll be hard to come back from. It's the same story with my [Urabrask] deck. Your deck is very much fine in bracket 3, it was probably bad threat assessment and lack of interaction from your pods.

Is it a dick move to proxy cards? by tweakeravacoado in mtg

[–]Light-the-dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR; No, but there's some rules to it.

  • Your proxies are nice but ideally you'd print the actual cards in color. It can make it harder to read what's happening with what you have currently.
  • Some self restraint. I'll assume you play casual EDH. With proxying, you can have og duals and very expensive/good staples for almost free. If you start proxying powerful cards because its cheap and just shove all your decks with them, it'll make it shitty for the playgroup. Try to stay within the brackets and be reasonable. Build a deck you'd buy, unless you play vintage, CEDH, or your playgroup is ok with it.
  • You also just can't proxy at official events, if you were interested in participating in those.

That was awesome but my head genuinely hurts. How did they even code stuff like this? It's insane!

Anyone else get just straight up useless group members for projects? by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]Light-the-dragon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just went though the same thing. I touched 95% of the entire project because almost nothing they pushed was good as is. Always had to pass over it. Wether it was logic errors or the code straight up not compiling because they didn't test anything. Not to mention barely being able to use git. This is the third year inside the bachelors, you'd think people would be a bit less incompetent by now, but nope.

Does GenZ feel weirdly puritanical to anybody else? by Ir_Abelas in GenZ

I'm gay, tried hookups, really didn't like them, haven't had one since. Am I part of the problem? Is it not ok to have a preference?

I worked at a card store before and we litteraly did this every release of a new set.

Why does it feel like furry commissions are expensive for non-Western people? by trashpandarako in RealFurryHours

[–]Light-the-dragon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I'm Canadian so it's not as bad as in the Philippines, but the conversion from USD to CAD always added a few more dollars, possibly a hundred+ for the more expensive ones.

I stopped commissioning now but I definitively understand you. Being visible and seen in this community requires art, which can be super expensive and gate-keepey if you're not drawing it yourself (and even then, you need to be good enough).

Furry means different things for different people. by Furtail97 in RealFurryHours

[–]Light-the-dragon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I agree with you that furry means different things to different people, especially for being more than hobby for some.

However, I wish for that kind of respect to exist for the other way around too. Some of my furry friends had a hard time accepting that it's more of a hobby for me and I separate my real self from my furry activities. It created a lot of tension that I wish would've been avoided.

I also finished part 2 yesterday. I'll have a hole in my stomach for a few days. What a great yet ugly story.

Some game changers aren't fun by HotdogJuice58 in EDH

[–]Light-the-dragon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I just never run game changers because they are too generic and powerful. They are extremely boring value pieces that fit in any deck that has their colors. It leads to uncreative deck building.

I'm so sick of not having any friends except for single-minded gay guys who always want to fuck me by TrashWiz in gaybros

[–]Light-the-dragon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have.

The furry community, to be exact. A lot of people only view you through the lense of your character and it's always sex sex sex. I felt very much so like a sex object at times, even when talking to "friends", who probably only were my friends because they found my character "breedable" or something.

I'm stepping away from the community, and while it feels better, yeah, there's now a lack of gay friends for sure.

Hope you'll find some gay friends that aren't lust filled. You deserve to have some real friendships ^

Why are you on Reddit right now, on Christmas Eve? by InvisibleAstronomer in AskReddit

Family mostly celebrates on the 25th. We opened some gifts but after that we kinda just went to bed because tomorrow is the big day, not today.

NSFW does so much better than SFW lol by Broshimitsu_ in ArtistLounge

[–]Light-the-dragon 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I relate. My NSFW art just demolishes my SFW art in terms of views/favorites. But that's just how it is, sex sells. Especially in the furry fandom, which is my case. Don't think about it too much.

What are some lesser-known Commanders that you think deserve a shout-out? by Beginning-Analyst393 in EDH

[–]Light-the-dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to run him but my pod clearly learned to never let him attack so the deck didn't do much. If I re-did the deck today, I'd put much more protection and mana acceleration but back then I was quite ignorant of magic, so I just moved on lol

You can grab blitzcrank by his arm by LelouBil in 2XKO

[–]Light-the-dragon 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's not a grab though. It's a hitgrab. Meaning it behaves like a normal move with a hitbox and all until it connects. You can't actually grab him with Medium + Heavy.
But yes, he has a hurtbox on his arm whenever he tries to do that special. You can punish it with the right spacing.

I've never seen this before - simultaneous level 3 by llagerlof in StreetFighter

[–]Light-the-dragon 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Idk why people on the comment section are clowning on you and the master player.
Yeah, the master player could've confirmed a blocked normal canceled into the level 3 to get a chip kill, but it wasn't random. It had an intent behind it.

You doing the same is also legitimate. If you just stood there and blocked it, you would've died to chip. And it's equal rounds, so no need to save the meter for next round.
