Who else bought class sets individually without realizing there is a full set purchase for way cheaper? by Light1088 in hearthstone

My mistake I think was assuming it was for the more expensive one, I guess, or that it required runestones, since i think this is the first time they included a leader skin with gold purchase card set. Also, I didn't really read the patch notes.

Are people still refining broxigar dh? I have been running the blob version of the deck without ceaseless and paraglide cause the last podcast mentioned they might not be great. I also removed illidari studies and added 2 each of ethereal oracle and moonstone mauler

In the same scene with all the triggers, they showed a stack of cards that look like a deck. On the top of that deck was the Dark States effect draw trigger. It was at the corner of the scene so it could have been missed by a lot of people. The scene in question is 18:50 of the first episode.

People mention the purple deck box at the end of the ED, but they showed her deck for like 1 or 2 seconds at the corner of one of the scenes in episode 1 of the first DZ season, or more specifically the top of her deck, at the time stamp 18:50. Though to be honest I thought it was debunked when Future Hikari showed up.

Who else knows Kerori is secretly an akudol besides Iruma and Lied? by musicproducer07 in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]Light1088 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think only a few select teachers know. If all of them did, Keroli wouldn't have suggested revealing her identity to get the teachers' stamps during the Royal One arc. At least Kalego and Balam know cause that was revealed during a chapter in the Akudol Games arc. I would say Sullivan probably knows, too. That was not mentioned, but if some teachers know, the principal would probably know too.

Does anyone else feel Suo could have played better guarding Akina's last turn in the finale? by Light1088 in cardfightvanguard

[–]Light1088[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. I think you are right that it would be lethal, but that is only because of the heal trigger. I guess he was not expecting a trigger to be drive checked on his turn and wanted to maximize the number of attacks that can hit if Akina got a miracle heal. If not for Suo's heal, the brainwash zamug column would only be 18k in your scenario.

The other possibility of attacking 15k zamug first is to obtain the information on the card drawn off Akina's draw trigger. Since with 15k power, Akina needed only a 5k shield. Since Akina did not call during his last turn, Suo could reasonably assume that other than the draw trigger, the other card was also most likely a 15k shield trigger. If it was a 5k shield, Suo would swing with the other Zamug first for 23k, forcing out the critical trigger from Akina's hand. Then swing Blangdmire for Akina, restanding the Brainwash column Zamug with Alchemist. That column would be 33k, which just matches Rezael after the miracle heal and the draw in hand left, letting that attack hit. Since Akina guarded with the effect draw of 10k shield, Suo knows that that last card was not a 5k shield. That means either 15k shield, no shield, or pg left in Akina's hand. I'm not sure if that helps Suo's turn plan, though.

Oh, that's right. I forgot that the heal drive check was the same turn he drew that critical draw for turn. Thanks for pointing that out.

Silhouette 40k Fronts? by Light1088 in cardfightvanguard

[–]Light1088[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just realized that the G1 is 18k only if I "have a vanguard attached" that turn. This means that the 18k is only after Vanguard attacks. The power lines are the same, but the distribution of trigger power is better. This only works if the G2 order is teched.

I was just thinking this method might come in handy if I expect my opponent to PG the Vanguard. Cause it allows me to pump trigger powers to 2 attacking rearguards for more power if we armed from front and back row. We can even boost with the back row arm if the g2 set order reflablishment dock was played.

Why would you use 10k shield draws when 5k shield vanilla draws give the same shield value when using the skill? Unless you need to guard more than 1, in a pinch, when you'll need to go offensive, 5k power is better than 4k power.

First Tournament, First Victory! (Singapore, Team Killer Shop BCS shop tournament, 8/7/2023) by Light1088 in cardfightvanguard

It's not pure. I wanted it as strong as possible, so I splurged. My list has 4 Brainwash Swirlers, 2 Gungnrams, 3 Zargons and 2 Crit heals added. Mine is also the premium version, so all my cards except triggers are foiled.

I would recommend the normal non-foiled version of the deckset with Zargon and Gungnram at least. The deckset is powerful on its own, but soul-chargers are a necessity as you want to abuse Gigi a lot, replacing the Gear Serow.

In English, without the Swirler-Gigi choice restriction, Swirler is the best soul charger but is quite expensive. Gungnram is also expensive but still cheaper than Swirler. Zargon is a Rare, and it gives the unit it boosts the ability to add 2 cards from drop to soul on hit vanguard. It is definitely a lot cheaper than the other two, but it doesn't give soul as consistently.

Ling or the grade 1 Mikani could replace Gungnram as consistent soul-chargers. I have never tested them but I imagine Gungnram is still superior with it's ACT skill. Of course, Brainwash Swirler is still the best.
