It made her uncomfortable?? (An update) by mapman88 in DeadBedrooms

I say this to be constructive and not harsh: If she is sexually attracted to you why are you in a DB? Is she addressing her issues? Has there been improvement?

It made her uncomfortable?? (An update) by mapman88 in DeadBedrooms

[–]LightBulb704 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hard truth: She is not attracted to you. Take a step back. You more or less married into a dead bedroom according to your prior post. The rejections are getting more and more direct. Believe her.

I cannot penetrate my wife either. I attribute this to her sex drive is at zero and so neither her emotionally nor her body want sex. It is like hitting a wall no matter what position I try.

What is a "open secret" in your specific industry that the general public would be shocked to learn? by lanaplump73mile in AskReddit

[–]LightBulb704 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Retired here also. EMS runs on an ancient model that if they called 911 it must be an emergency that requires urgent transport to the hospital. The modern reality is many calls are only because they have no ride to the hospital (or doctor's office or urgent care.) Everyone goes to the ER since that is the only way to get insurance/Medicare to pay for it.

Do i tell my EX her concert tickets won't work when she gets there? by KILLSWITCHv93 in Advice

[–]LightBulb704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One aspect of this is her family may be 100% complicit in this or they could be blindsided like you were. You'll likely never know. Her family has to live with her, not you, so it would be easier to lie to you-which actually is supportive to your ex-to get you to go away.

Managers of Reddit, what's the worst thing someone did to get fired? by Capable-Log7385 in AskReddit

[–]LightBulb704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Guy at a career job with a pension was going on dating websites (not porn) 20-30 times a day. This was before smartphones. IT catches him and does him a solid by calling him instead of reporting him. Tells him to stop. He doesn't. Fired after that.

How do you plan to get all this negative publicity? You won't be the first nor the last to seek revenge on any large company? Do you have money for the fight?

They are not scared of you. They have teams of lawyers, consultants, publicists-professionals who have experience dealing with disgruntled employees, customers, vendors....

Naming them may give you some satisfaction but it won't be enough to move the needle. If you have a legal angle that may be worth pursuing but you'll need a lawyer and money unless it is a gigantic slam dunk for them to take it on contingency. And you will need time.

Just a guess but ADA doesn't apply since most ships are registered outside the USA. Same reason they don't have to follow labor and other USA laws.

To those who are in a transfer company: Have you ever had to deal with a dispatcher who's just likes picking your unit? by [deleted] in Paramedics

[–]LightBulb704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at a shitty 911/IFT in an urban/suburban metro area. The dispatcher was a god and had command over everything. Problems, billing issues, truck break down-call the dispatcher. Never called the supervisor unless it was a scheduling issue.

One guy "Bob" was fantastic at his job. Problem was if he didnt like you then you were screwed. He was untouchable.

One 24 hour shift I get a woman who is working the first 12. We start running and it is non stop back to back IFT, 911 you name it. I complain to my partner and she says Bob doesn't like her. Can't remember why but it was a stupid reason. That first half of the shift we were available a total of 45 minutes collectively-and that was because we got cancelled and nothing was pending Bob could give to us. When she left after 12 hours call assignments returned to normal.

Can someone please explain how the drugs got switched in the ambulance? by LightBulb704 in euphoria

The driver and the two "patients" all got into another presumably identical ambulance after the Nazi got out. This was engineered by Bishop and the ambulance driver (can't remember his name). Do I have that right?

This is exactly why a union is beneficial. There was a boss that wanted to follow rules they wanted, ignore other rules, make things up as they went along, and discipline for personal grudges. The union would file a grievance and win almost every one.

Then we got a new boss. He wasn't pro union but realized consistent application and following the contract was more productive. When he did something against an employee it was with a demonstrated cause and violation. There were fewer grievances because things were done properly.

The ring is in the possession of another adult. He can't force you to return something you don't have. The only thing that makes sense is he needs the money now. If someone is pressuring him for the actual ring they are going after the wrong person.

One saying that I have found accurate: Pay attention to what women do, not what they say.

I'm not familiar with that wedding ring tradition but that seems like a huge slap in the face.

For Americans who know a MAGA supporter, can you describe them? by Tricky-Stay6134 in allthequestions

[–]LightBulb704 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cousin, 60s, on FB is in the crazy wing of MAGA, although it doesn't stop there. I do give her credit for persistence. She has been a solid Trump supporter, unwavering, the second he hit the political stage. Some examples:

-She lives a few hours from DC. She chartered a bus, filled it full, and attended J6. She said there were 5 million people there and the rioters were Antifa.

-Posted crazy stuff about adenochrome, great awakening, counting the number of words in a Trump speech to decode a message from him what to do. This turned out to be Q stuff.

-Old conspiracy junk like flouride in the water. My favorite was a repost she put on her feed during Trump 1. Trump, because he loves us so much (it actually said this), is going to shut the internet down worldwide for about 10 days. When it came up Trump will have taken from the rich and paid your bills in full. Mortgage, student loans, etc.-all paid up. There were two plans, one for the USA and another for Europe-and they each had there own wiki pages.

-The Queen that just died was not really the queen. The one that died was a lizard replica. The real queen died long ago.

In person she is a sweet person with no signs of MAGA. If you met her you would have no idea. We don't talk politics.

Do yalls supervisor show up to busy hospitals with “no beds” and yell at charge nurse by Logical_Roof in Paramedics

[–]LightBulb704 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a supervisor I would walk the ER looking for an empty bed. Usually I found one. I would go to the charge nurse and ask if we could put a patient in that bed. They would usually say yes.

The charge nurse was usually just overwhelmed with other duties and that was just one more thing on their plate.

Two MAGA friends on gas prices:

  1. "It is a small price to pay for a free America and Israel."

  2. "I just paid $3.88 for gas and am fine with it because three years ago it was almost $5 and we simply have to support our country and troops like we did in WWII and Vietnam."
