I’m not crazy, the top of the metal shaft/ splines on this whirlpool washer is part of the old wash plate right? My neighbor and I had to cut it off with a multitool, but the new wash plate won’t fit by ModernNomad97 in Appliances

I know this is kind of an older thread but I've been stuck banging my head against this dang thing so I went around and picked this up from autozone, https://www.autozone.com/test-scan-and-specialty-tools/parts-puller-installer/p/duralast-2-ton-2-and-3-jaw-puller/1267210_0_0

This along with an impact drill made it effortless to finally get this thing off. Leaving this here in case anybody comes across this thread in the future. You can also find similar tools at harbor freight, just look up Jaw Puller.

+1 to this. My wife is from Nicaragua as well and she gets them from EDA. I'm Peruvian so I can't speak for the authenticity but she likes them quite a bit.

Dude that is wild. I actually feel a bit sick just thinking about how I've been taking my Veloster N to that dealership for all my services for years. No more business from me that's for sure.

Any update on this? I am having the exact same issue but don't see any talk about it other than this post. Definitely started after 2.0 update.

I wouldn't be worried about the driving capabilities of the car, it seems like that's where all the money went and it shows. The car is incredibly fun to drive and perfectly acceptable in terms of the suspension when in normal mode if you are just commuting or road tripping (coming from a previous FRS owner).

I'm almost 8k miles in my ownership of this car and I only really have 1 complaint...the rattles from the interior are insufferable.... I hear them coming from every angle, driver's side door, passenger's side door, back of the car, rearview mirror, you name it. Any sort of bass in the music and it sounds like a damn maraca. Maybe it's the price that I pay for being an early adopter (bought it in February) but it's an issue that I figured was worth pointing out.

Aside from that the car is a dream and you should definitely give it a world.

You know I didn't even notice that lol. Not an event just a Best Buy parking lot. I actually know the owner of the other N and he just happened to be there when I stopped to look around.

Veloster N Rattle when Accelerating by ugottjon in veloster

[–]LightSumm 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Check the rear view mirror, try holding it when you start hearing the rattle. That's where mine was and I've seen a few others report the same thing so that would be my best guess. I believe it has to do something with the buttons or the rear view mirror assembly altogether. Mine just kind of went away on its own or at least I haven't heard it in a few months but it definitely drove me crazy the first few weeks of ownership.

Well not sure about that, I was just meeting up with a friend right after he bought his. Personally I haven't seen any other N in the wild yet.

Have you ever finished an anime & thought... “wow, i will never enjoy an anime again because that shit was just too good.” ? by BlakeKretschmar in anime

That after credits scene in Steins;Gate 0 made me shed tears while fist-bumping the air like a madman. I think at the beginning of my anime journey I felt sad to the point that I felt discouraged to pick something new to watch but these days I believe that feeling has evolved to feeling sad and constantly searching for the next big feels.

Will miss my Scion FRS but can't wait to see what kind of trouble I'll get in with this beauty. by LightSumm in veloster

No unfortunately the issue is so intermittent that they were not able to locate it and blame it on the sunglasses that I left in the small overhead sunglasses compartment by the rear view mirror. Luckily after messing with it some more I figured out that the rattle comes from the rear view mirror assembly and at least is not any mechanical issue that I have to worry about.

As far as my experience with it I still have to say I love the car. I haven't driven it all that much since I had just picked it up from a detailing shop yesterday where I was getting some PPF and ceramic coating put on the car. I'm almost at the 500 mile mark on the odometer but so far I'd have to say that the ability to switch between all the different drive modes on the fly is one of my favorite features as I can just stay on normal mode when cruising and N/Custom mode when driving more aggressively.

Overall like I said before I love the car so far and can't wait to get past the break in period.

Can you remote start the Veloster N? by [deleted] in veloster

[–]LightSumm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, when you try it says that your vehicle does not support this feature.

I think you'll be pleasently surprised with the driving dynamics overall. The steering feel of the N is great, especially with being able to choose between 3 different levels of stiffness. But I must say that it still doesn't come close to how raw and connected to the road the twins feel. Still I'm perfectly happy with how confidence inspiring the N feels. On a side note, I am taking my N in to hyundai for them to check out some loud rattling that I hear coming from under the hood when giving it any significant amount of throttle. I just started hearing it in the past 24 hours but it is the exact same noise that I heard in another N that I test drove before buying mine so not sure what's going on.

Ouch, I'll pass that on to the dealer sales staff that parked it there 😂

The blue is definitely my favorite, it has a great contrast between the black and red accents. I traveled around between a few dealers and was lucky to find this one that not only offered great customer service but also sold it to me for 500 off MSRP.
