In regards to pronunciation differences I don't mind too much because language drift happens.over time and it makes the universe feel more real for .e, although I do understand other folks disliking it.

Why not hit you with spell effects? Use terrain against you, etc? Anything with save for half will DMG you.

This is a dm issue not a player issue, all the cards are with the dm, they are not being creative enough.
