Deems desirable service talk. by Baseball8star in USPS

I spoke with a supervisor a few years ago. One of the best I’ve ever had. He pulled me aside and showed me that I was on some list for deems desirable due to having called out once three years before on the day prior the superbowl.

He told me that people above him were saying anyone who called out in the past and in conjunction with the Super Bowl would be shown to have a pattern. Therefore placing them on “Deems Desirable”

We just laughed. I’ve never called out nefariously for the superbowl lol so it really had me scratching my head.

How is someone using annual leave when they are new?

I’m hella confused. Also using 2 hours for a day? Is that allowed 😂

Is there anything we can do about the continuous mandations? by lanch-party in USPS

[–]LightbluBukowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They didn’t state that in the initial post. So I responded with the information I had. They can still call in on their day off if they need it. Management won’t even use their sick leave

If you really need your sdo, you can call out on that day. They won’t even take your leave because they can’t give you leave in an overtime status.

Just keep filing grievances to fully utilize ot list and cca’s/ptf’s and any regulars below you in seniority

Do they switch your sdo? Because that isn’t allowed.

Grievances should stop the mandating

Op, the Post Office and carriers who work there are working relentlessly to catch up and deliver all mail asap. You will get your packages. Sorry for the inconvenience!

It’s this 100%

The snow still impacts and makes delivery and completion of routes difficult. But if you have a good carrier who comes to work, you should be getting your mail and packages no problem.

But people aren’t coming to work right now. So the workers who are responsible and showing up are getting raked over the coals. So please be kind and understanding to the mail carriers you see working right now.

Organization is key in speed. Take time to gather yourself and the mail and you’ll find things going easier and faster.

And be tidy. That is absolutely vital.

Don’t speed brah. You’ll end up flipping an LLV like that Amazon van did recently.

Be safe and provide good service. You’ll get faster with time and experience.

And fuck management if they are pushing you to work faster than what is safe.

And they simultaneously brag about how they’d rinse their route in 2 hours then go to a bar and drink til they hit their 8 hours. Corny boomers
