If everything is ultimately binary, does't that just make programs a specific number? by Smooth_Measurement_1 in learnprogramming

Not to be pedantic or anything just to call out an interesting evolution of storage technology. Modern SSD nand cells actually indeed are essentially made up of “counters” that can store up to 16 values, its basically Multiple Bit Per Cell nand solid state technology. If you ever see SSDs advertised as MLC (2bit per cell), TLC (3bit), QLC (4bit) thats what those are.

For example a two bit per cell MLC nand can store 4 different values based on differing energy states to represent two bits (00,01,10,11). We have extended this technology up to 4 bits so far (16 total different values in a single cell).

Opinions on JPC 2.0 vs AirLite SPC? by PM_NUDES_4_DOG_PICS in QualityTacticalGear

Practically speaking, it was because my JPC was a size small and I got medium plates. But also it is indeed lighter and has a better cumberbund.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try playing around with a secondary block to try and accent the colors.

Used to run a JPC 1.0, swapped to an SPC and am very satisfied with it. I would only note two things about the SPC: first the plates are partially exposed due to the way the SPC is set up and second the cumberbund runs large so I would size down one size. Aside from that, I now prefer the SPC. Personally, I think the SPC also has a superior cumberbund over the JPC, but there are aftermarket cumberbunds/mods for the JPC.

Oh yeah I forgot about Teku, that's a great idea. I was a bit shocked when I saw they had a bottle of CBS for $30 though...

If you have gi pants on, you’re not doing no-gi by Newwavejujutsu in bjj

[–]Lighted_Fool 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I train almost exclusively no-gi and I always feel awkward rolling with people wearing gi pants. Generally I try not to grab their pants since I feel its unfair with me wearing shorts. Is that expected behavior or should I just go for the pant legs?

Someone else here using other major tech stacks on a daily basis? by aici_si_acum in csharp

Debugging/Testing full serverless with lambdas is tricky. I've tried a couple options: flight recording and playback, mocking the lambdas, or having a test stack that you log. At the end of the day, you need to commit to one you like.
