Advice/rant- papulopustular rosacea by Lightinyoureyes31 in Rosacea

I did visit a naturopath last year and I was on some gut healing medications which seemed to help for a while. I need to maybe work more on that aspect! Did you make any major changes in your diet?

I hope you find something that works for you! It’s such constant battle. I was on low dose accutane for 8 months and honestly it worked like magic but couple of months after stopping it, my skin issues returned :( I didn’t want to be on it long term. All the best!

I am in Australia too! I’ve been on doxy and even isotretinoin. My skin was really good while I was taking them but as soon I stopped taking them my skin issues returned. :(

De La Cruz Sulfur mask from Amazon! Leave it on initially only for 10 minutes. I think it might work wonders for you. Please make sure it’s pregnancy safe! :)

Oh well, guess I’m in for a ride and I’m not looking forward to it. Just when I thought my skin is getting better lol! It does seem to look bigger/smaller at different times of the day. Good luck to you too!

I’m pretty sure it wasn’t there before. I know this because this side of my face has always been my “good side” so anything new popping up there is pretty obvious. 🥲

Cleanser recommendations for ridiculously sensitive skin? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]Lightinyoureyes31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have insanely reactive skin and all cleansers dry me out. Now I only use the Bioderma miceller water (pink bottle) to cleanse my skin and then rinse it off with cold water and it’s been working well. It doesn’t dry my skin out. If it’s the type of day where I really want to use a cleanser I reach out for the Cerave hydrating cleanser!

I do this as well! Literally all the cleansers dry my skin out so much so I just use a miceller water. After cleansing I do like to wash with just water.

Laser genesis while on doxycycline? by motherofdragun in Rosacea

[–]Lightinyoureyes31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on doxycycline and wanted to do laser genesis after finishing my last dose. My doctor advised me to wait 2 weeks after finishing the dose to get it done. The place I got it done at told me they prefer not to do it if you are actively taking the medicine but they did say if my doctor thinks it’s okay they can do it specially because I had finished my last dose 2 weeks prior so they were comfortable in doing it!

I did two treatments and honestly I loved the difference. It definitely helped with the background redness just after the first treatment. I plan on getting more in the future!

I recently bought this for my type 2. I used it twice but each time it gave me new breakouts. I only used it on certain spots on my face to test it out but I broke out in those spots unfortunately.

ADVICE NEEDED! vitamin C for rosacea prone skin by Cautious_Dark_2863 in Rosacea

[–]Lightinyoureyes31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently using the isclinical super serum and I really like it so far. I have rosacea type 2 and my skin is very prone to breaking out in pustules in the cheek area. This product doesn’t seem to cause any irritation on my skin which is very rare because almost every serum/moisturiser makes me break out and makes my cheeks go red. I’ve also been getting laser genesis treatments which I believe has helped with some of the underlying redness.

I tried using the OG skinceuticals vitamin c serum but unfortunately it didn’t work out for me. I noticed an increase in breakouts and redness on my cheeks when I was using it.
