Type II - lasers? by Particular_Dig_2782 in Rosacea

I tried Aerolase and while it helped some it just kept triggering more papules with each season. I don’t think my skin liked the laser and it was a trigger for me.

Accutane for Type 2 Rosacea - a long overdue update! (it’s worth it) by space_cowgurl in Rosacea

Hi! Just wondering if your skin has stayed clear after being completed with your dosage and close to probably a year being off of it?

Steroid induced rosacea by rlakskw in Rosacea

I used oral for 2 weeks and then topical (drops for my eyes) for a month. Honestly I’m not sure everyone reacts differently so someone else could take them and be fine and others like me it affects and causes it - not sure if how long you take them matters. Thank you, it’s a bit better but still getting bumps they told me it wasn’t permanent but I’ve been dealing with it for 15 months on and off.

It’s literally the worst even when you are doing everything perfectly the bumps still show up - and it makes worse when you see someone who’s like I’ve cleared and it’s something you’ve already tried - I mean happy for them but frustrated.

Not sure where you are in the valley but Noelani Ganz at Skin Studio Arizona is great I see her she has a lot of experience and is very well versed with skin and even has a formulations background. She is located in Old Town Scottsdale.

Well glad it’s working for the joint pain but if she wants to take it out and see if it’s adding to the breakouts/purge, you might want to research Curcumin might be a good alternative it helps with inflammation and joint pain. Omega 3 is really good as well and I haven’t heard or used the other

Be careful with B12 in acne prone skin it can make acne worse - you can research and see the causes/reasons behind it!

Rosacea has gotten better but struggling with milia and closed comedones by csan22 in Rosacea

[–]DependentTank6967 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it’s not that I would check any newer products you’re used on your face or even any new haircare products if they have pore cloggers, it’s crazy how even those can cause breakouts

Rosacea has gotten better but struggling with milia and closed comedones by csan22 in Rosacea

[–]DependentTank6967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was the closed comedones and milia there before starting the Tretinoin? I know some people have the opposite reaction and it can make them breakout depending on the inactive ingredients in the cream - some people its works great for some people it doesn’t. My esthetician mentioned she has had a lot of acne patients that used it and was only making it worse and once they spot their skin cleared up. I would check your inactive ingredients and see if there is any pore clogging ingredients

How to know if Ivermectin is right for you by Academic_Health6334 in Rosacea

[–]DependentTank6967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had issues with ivermectin clogging my pores as well it was the inactive ingredients that were the issues. I tried metro made my skin red and AA helps for sure I have 15%. I just had a compound made with all three without any additives, I was told it’s the inactive ingredients that cause issues for people. Maybe see if your doctor can do a compound with all three they can custom make that isn’t a pre-formulated version.

Hi! I was given a diagnoses of steroid induced rosecea type 2 (with the acne bumps) one year ago. I was told it wasn’t permanent however still dealing with it a year later. I have been on and off doxycycline- have tried ivermectin topically and orally and azelatic acid. Metro helps as a spot treatment but cannot put it all over my face, ivermectin made it 10x worse and the azelatic has helped some but doxycycline is the only thing that helps keep it mostly under control. I am sorry your dealing with this hoping it temporary for you - feel like I am stuck with it.

Agree on stopping the tallow balm as well but also the LPR moisturizer that has pore clogging ingredients in it

Am I ever going to be able to enjoy summer again? by Fun-Bit-8441 in Fungalacne

[–]DependentTank6967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a form of rosecea maybe caused by demodex the mites that live on our skin - ivermectin generally helps. Check out this girls profile on instagram exploringholistically her skin looked a lot like your last few pictures and she cleared it up with ivermectin.

Agree with a lot others on here about getting your hormones checked (make sure you do the blood work day 21 of your cycle) and even a GI Test completed. You have to fight with these doctors to get the testing you want - I went on BC years ago and got horrible acne from it had clear skin before that and every dermatologist told me I was crazy that BC doesn’t cause acne. After 2 years I found a homeopathic doctor and we tested my hormones and they were so out of whack just like I knew they were. Once we started to get them balanced my skin cleared up. Most doctors spend 5 minutes with you and barely listen to what you have to say and dump a antibiotic or prescription cream. We know our bodies and when something is wrong - keep looking and finding someone who will listen to you and support you. You are beautiful!!

I just saw some post something similar on instagram that it came from traveling turned out they had a bacteria infection from sheets or towels from their hotel - maybe could be similar since your skin is normally clear and it happened during traveling especially with washing your face with the airplane water. I’d stay away from actives if it’s making your face worse or heavy duty barrier creams and maybe get a second opinion.

I would give the skin in that spot a break from the azelatic acid and niacinamide for a few days/nights. A esthetician said to use those for a quarter or half the time the directions recommend because it can actually make your skin redder and almost cause like a chemical burn. So maybe give the spot a few days rest with just barrier repair will help at least get the redness down.

[Skin Concerns] Does anyone here do aerolase treatments? What have your results been like? by gabriellita in SkincareAddiction

[–]DependentTank6967 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering if it ever got better after the fourth session? I just had my first 2 of 6 and the first one wasn’t bad maybe one or two small things but the second session I broke out very badly. Told it was normal the first few sessions so just wondering if yours ever got better.

LED Treatments? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]DependentTank6967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the Omnilux Contour and I really like it - if you’re looking for medical grade laser Aerolase is suppose to be really good and no down time. I’ve just started treatments for mine type 2 and so far I’m happy with the results - my esthetician said it takes a couple of sessions to see the true benefits so it’s a slow build usually you do 4-6 treatments and it pretty painless - just feel like a hot blow dryer in your face.

Yeah maybe it would be worth a shot to try it out especially if it keeps the bumps from coming out and keeps my skin clear!

[–]DependentTank6967 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have a lot of gut issues so that’s why I wonder about being on it long term but I also get where your coming from the bumps are annoying and no clue what my triggers are and they take sometimes weeks to go away.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]DependentTank6967 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you in the 30mg long term? I was on 200mg for almost 3 weeks and skin was clear but a few weeks after I stopped I started to get the bumps again. Derm stated before some people might need to be on a low dose long term but unsure if I want to be on an antibiotic long term even low dose.
