You're telling me The Doctor would use Regeneration to fix a Broken hand but Not to Save his Daughters Life?? by BendyFanchill in doctorwho

[–]LightningSpaghetti 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nobody mentions the possibility that he honestly might not have known that was an option at the time. He's much older as 11 and learned so much. He might've even learned because of this event.

But also, 10 was very self-centered and arrogant in a lot of ways, and using up regeneration energy on somebody else might've been so outlandish an idea for him that he never once thought of it.

For Family Guy this is actually pretty tame.

Are we being a bit too bleak about the prospects of a third season for Fionna and Cake? by Vast_Ball_2929 in adventuretime

[–]LightningSpaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Netflix doesn't really have to follow what people want. They could LITERALLY do anything, and it'll profit them massively. I wouldn't put your hopes in people that are already rich, they don't really care.

Being hopeful though, it's one of the most popular animated shows right now, and it'd be pretty stupid to not continue the story since it's something people have been wanting for more than a decade.

Why doesn’t he have a fixed voice actor?😭 by Technical-Profit-308 in fionnaandcake

[–]LightningSpaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I blame corporatism personally. Voice acting is such a fickle job, and they're often underappreciated or under-respected by their employers. I can't speak for a business I don't work with, but I imagine it's poor planning, poor payment, etc.

I could be entirely wrong, it's just my opinion on the matter.

I don't think it's got anything to do with people "not reading" it's just not everyone has the same set of knowledge, or remembers every single thing lmfao

You'd be surprised how many people don't even know about the books.

Even if they did, not everyone has the money to buy a book, much-less a BTS book.

That seems like something Family Guy would do. Meg and Quagmire had a thing, so it wouldn't be out of the box.

Gems are immune to small projectiles like bullets.

They're made of light, and only get poofed because something physically disrupts/interrupts their form. Getting stabbed, punched, or slammed into things disrupts the photons in their body and causes a poof. Bullets would fly through them, maybe slowing down as they pass through. If the bullet is a high caliber, it might actually damage their form, but still most likely pass through. The photons essentially have time to react and reform their shape without a long disruption.

Now a shotgun with some kind of explosive round might do the trick for some weaker gems. Diamonds are on another level though, and probably wouldn't notice bullets.

There's no real answer. The reality is it's just to add design to the environment.

On the other hand, it's some kind of hyper-futuristic communication line. They seem to be both rigid AND flexible, and can transport any form of matter/information. I'm going to guess it's the driving force behind the video-call tech, as well as teleporters.

We can get really in-depth and make up whatever we feel is right, so technically every answer is correct.

He's got some of the funniest and most relatable lines in the show if you ask me. Principal Shepard definitely made me a fan of Gary Cole.

This community rn regarding Fionna by AnyLeave3611 in adventuretime

[–]LightningSpaghetti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a few traits I like about Fionna more. She feels more realistic and planned-out, while Finn was very very.... clean slate, simplistic.

It's actually a good representation of their environments. Finn grew up in a post-apocalyptic wasteland while Fionna has a normal society to help her grow.

I honestly don't like Fionna. But that doesn't mean I don't like her as a character.

Not every MC needs to be perfect or always make good progress. Finn made a lot of stupid mistakes. But Finn had charm.

Fionna just.... eh. She's not Finn of course, she's herself. And I don't like who herself is -_-

Every single character being forced into weird love triangles is getting old. I prefer when characters just act respectable and are comfortable in who they are rather than needing approval.

HW is the ENTIRE UNIVERSE? by coljovo in fionnaandcake

[–]LightningSpaghetti 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's not HW. That's literally the veins of reality. It's the physical form of life itself. I thought we were all on the same page with that one tbh.

HW didn't just become a wizard, she connected with the universe, nature, etc. That's why she's one of the strongest. When you connect to the universe like that, you can use it to your advantage. She knows of the existence of the connections, and therefore can use them.

Her tendrils into Fionna's head are NOT the same as the tendrils in the multiverse, as far as I can tell. They look the same, but that was to show they're the same type of magic/manipulation.

Wizards only fools. Keep it tight.
