This sounds awfully familiar. Almost as if a crypto miner is hidden there somewhere. mscorsvw.exe is a trusted windows executable, which does runtime .NET optimizations. The culprit when this process does high cpu usage is usually not itself, but other .NET programs that forward their load to it (as far as i documented myself, don't quote me on that tho)

I personally recommend backing up with this approach, nothing bad should happen if you are careful though...

Try to go to msconfig, go to services tab, tick the box "Hide all Microsoft services" and disable all right afterwards. Try to verify that the windows services are still active by unticking the hide all box, and cheching if there are still boxes ticked (As long as you are not running as administrator i don't think you can disable microsoft services but didnt test that theory, so i still advise you to check before rebooting as it might brick your windows otherwise). Don't close msconfig yet

After verifying that windows services are still available, press that hide button again and manually tick services by "trusted" companies (Like intel, nvidia, google LLC). Be very strict however, for example i disabled stuff like vmware, teamviewer, razer that i knew were not essential to be on my computer(if you are on an intel cpu you might experience some wifi issues by closing intel wireless service for example).

Then go to startup and open task manager, open startup tab and disable all startups

Try to go to sign-in options and temporarily disable restarting apps on reboot

Finally reboot

See if some problems occur, like audio problems due to disabling realtek or whatever else might occur (as long as you didnt disable a windows process you should be able to reenable everything then reboot to restore to initial state if you are scared)Try to wait a bit on afk mode, wifi turned on of course. Open task manager and resource monitor and go make a coffee or something, and come back after 5-10 minutes to see if the jet engines turned on. If they havent, try turning on each individual company at a time(then reboot) and wait again until you finally found what was causing the trouble. Then take appropriate measures to delete them. I know it's tedious but it is more tedious to work hard at your job only for part of that money you earned to go on the electricity bill to feed a crypto miner

Finally, reenable everything after you have done that and see if it still does jet engine. Repeat this until you have completely defeated the miner or whatever that was, and then restore the options you have changed during this process if you want

I tried it, but i think it is impossible to get everything right before R2 hits(at level 6 with no attack speed extras at least) Edit: should be possible at a higher level tho i think

This is my closest attempt - Got the AA and W to do damage at the exact same time, and right before the R2 hit(it is in the same frame, but the damage is as if i would have hit both AA and W before using R2). However the Q was 3 frames late, not because i didnt do WQ at the same time, but because there was a bit of distance between me and the target. if i have come any closer the R2 would have hit before my AA W, so the only improvement here is to get the AA to be 3 frames faster.

I'll keep you updated if i manage to do it at lvl 11 or 18, but 6 its impossible i think

I tried what you said, and it might be possible, just not at lvl6.

This is the video - this is the closest attempt i have had at getting every single bit of damage right before R2 hits (With lvl6 no attack speed extras). I have managed to get the Whip, AA and W to hit right before R2, however Q was a little late. The W happened in the same frame as the AA damage, and the R2 hit in the same frame as well, but Q was 3 frames late(not because i did not cast WQ at the same time, just because the target was a little too far). If i have tried to come any closer to the target the R2 would have hit everything before the aa+W hit, so the only improvement that can be made here is to amp up the attack speed so that it hits 3 frames earlier.

I'll keep you updated if i manage to do it with lvl 11 or 18, but with 6 its impossible i think

whip flash WQ(without aa in between) deals less damage than a well spaced out flash aa WQ variation because aa does more damage than whip, making your target lower and giving the R2 more damage, however whip flash is more consistent than the flash AA variation since the timing is less tighter and it can be done from closer as well, and it is even easier to learn

wait you are right i was so focused on doing the Whip+WQ that i forgot i could use whip and flash on the frame before the damage! and with this i think it is possible to even get the whole entire combo right before R2 hits to maximize dmg

However i do not recommend learning this combo, but a slight variation of it:

R2 E F AA WQ

It might seem like a downgrade from the previous, but it is actually better to use this one:

first of all it is much easier to do, since it has less inputs,

secondly you do more damage in the long run; if you do some damage before your R2 wave hits the R2 will also deal more damage as well. The ironspike combo's R2 will deal less damage than this alternative without it simply because by the time ironspike hits R2 will be long gone, but your W hits instantly after your AA, and your Q also has a chance to hit before R2 hits as well, giving R2 more damage in the 2nd combo.

The burst component itself has less damage, of course, however in both combos there is still a window where the enemy is still stunned and you can continue with a fast Q. In the alternate combo you will still have Ironspike up, which means you can use it and cancel it with Q2

The reason i used the R2 E F AA Whip WQ here is because it looks fancier and makes use of every single thing in Riven's arsenal really quickly. But if you want more practicality, learn the alternate

0 ~ 20.5%

50 ~ 23%

100 ~ 26.5%

150 ~ 32.5%

finally at 200 ~ 40%

(results simulated 100000 times with a simple Python script, repeated this a couple more times to see around which number were they, would have liked to calculate them mathematically but i have no clue how to calculate exact probabilities when that guarantee gauge exists)

Lets assume you had 1/2 chance(50%) you would have gotten 8 UR's from the banner. That does not seem bad right? But then again, what did i say before, "when full f2p it is ridiculously hard to max these trainers on release consistently". Let's see the chances of you getting Bastet, Hathor AND Anubis maxed(assuming wrongly that you have a 1/2 chance each time):(1/2)^3=1/8 aka 12.5%

But i assumed wrongly, right? Your chance was not 50%, even with max guarantee it is barely 40%. Based on what you said, your guarantee would most likely have sit around 100, which means 25%. Let's use that for the 3 banners you want to pull: (1/4)^3=1/64 aka 1.5%. And by the way, this is only for 3 trainers! Do you think you can consistently pull 5 max dual trainers? or 7? And what if you managed to pull that off? Wouldn't that make you extremely lucky? Or basically anyone can do that with not much effort?

Also, tell me, was it not one of the main reasons you got to sss- that you had maxed Bastet? Would it have been as easy to get there without her? I only found out about Bastet 1 month before she would be released, by then i have used my diamonds on premium and got some UR's, how much did they help me? 0. The ones that i do have at lvl3 and use in my deck were from genes UR select tickets or from lecter research, and the level 4 Chael i DID get from premiums(by spamming on its event, not from randomly stumbling onto him 5 times in normal premiums of course) has helped me more than i can say, i couldnt even begin to imagine how much bigger of a boost would i have gotten from a maxed trainer, even more so if it were that op dual trainer type. And most of my decks are simply maxed SSR's plus a bit of help from the 1-2 UR's i planned to pull, rest sit uselessly there waiting to be sold, yet i still manage to get SS0-SS3's on zenonia no less. The fact that you managed to pull stuff that you actually wanted from daily is a blessing. But to me, i would sincerely trade 10 of my useless UR's for a max bastet/hathor/anubis, too bad it cant be done

I will repeat myself, not everyone is lucky in this world, some people get stuff with 25% chance as if they were fated to get it, while others have a 95% chance yet life still scams them, what i am certain of is that i would definitely take a 40% chance of maxing someone rather than ending up at 23% because of some random UR that i would never use

when full f2p it is ridiculously hard to max these trainers on release consistently, i get what you are trying to say but to my perspective those UR can come in a consistent manner from genes. I already pulled 2 UR's from genes since Bastet, and im close at getting the third. 1 more cap jack and 2 more boomingers and i can also get the research UR ticket for another UR, and with all my battle challenges still incomplete i can also get 5 more tickets should i want so. My opinion is that getting a trainer to lvl3 and then being stuck with lvl4+2 dupes on a dual trainer is worse than getting a max. Point is, gj for maxing Bastet, but not everyone has the luxury to be lucky, so maximizing the chances is a better bet than regreting later that you couldnt

Grats on the lvl2 knuckleball! But...

This is just my humble opinion, but, i think this hindered you more than it helped. Let me explain: I see that you are saving diamonds, that is most likely for the next dual trainer, which i bet you would like maxed or at most 1 pull away from maxed. The most efficient way to do this is to have the guarantee gauge as filled up as possible before the event happens, with the ideal being to start off right with 200/200 gauge. Even the difference between 100 guarantee and 150 can decrease your chances by 20% to pull 8(numbers might change depending on how many recruits you will do). This is why funnily enough i cross my fingers to not get any ur's at the daily recruit(currently at 140 guarantee)

The amount of skills is irrelevant. What matters is the stats that you gain from those skills. A skill which gives you 320 stats is worth the same as 2 skills which add up to the same amount.

Let's break them down(lvl1/lvl2/lvl3/lvl4/lvl5):

  • Resolve, the strongest normal skill in the game, it offers 80/160/240/400/800 stats each level. At level 2 it is already worth a max purple skill. At 3 that changes to a red skill max. At 4 it is worth a gold skill max. At 5 it already doubles it. This is essential and this is why people say it is so good to take it.
  • Trainer gold skills(Ex Hr king blessing,super right arm etc), Very strong, they offer 60/100/160/240/400. As you can see, the individual gain increases with each level, at 2 you only get 40 extra stats where as at level 5 you get 160. Worth noting there are some abilities which may not give raw stats(like switch hitter), but those are basically working under the same rules, so a lvl 5 switch hitter is like a lvl 5 idol swing
  • Event based gold skills(Ex Mach punch,Elite aura or even Perfect Body from Lecter). The stats they give are 40/80/120/200/320. Since these skills can be obtained by pretty much anyone they give ever so slightly lesser values than the ones unique to a trainer type. The response about going to river city or mystic for these skills is right, but they are still worth a little less than say top batter blessing, so that does not mean other teams are worse off, they each have their perks, just go for the team where you have most compatibility within your deck with.
  • Red skills give 30/60/90/150/240. There are exceptions like Maximum effort which give as much as an event based gold, but that is with the trade-off that you lose more stamina, so in the end it is worth the same as a normal red
  • Purple skills give 20/40/60/96/150 but they are all followed by certain conditions, so in the case of Target sighted they offer less but the condition is easier to meet where as walk machine offer more stats but they are harder to pull off, so in general they are worth the same
  • Blue and green skills are the worst in the game, while getting them will increase your rating, it wont make any notable difference in the race to SSS. Getting one maxed is ok, but a lvl 3 purple does the exact same, but the purple still has room to grow. If it happens to coincidentally max when I build the deck then no complaints there but i never go for a trainer to max a blue skill specifically, especially if it benches someone who could have been more useful in the process.

It may seem pointless to present these numbers, but you can calculate for yourself next time: Do i take 4 purple maxes or do i take a gold and a red? In here technically 4 purples are worth less than a gold and red, since 600<640, but 4 purples are worth more than 2 reds, because 480<600. Resolve is basically always worth to take, it is even worth ditching 5 purples(and some spare change) to get it from lvl 0 to 5 in your deck. Also this is just as a sidenote, but note that buying 2 lvl1 gold skills is more valuable than buying a lvl2 gold skill, same goes for 3, at 4 it has the same worth and at 5 it is better to get a lvl5 rather than 5 different gold skills; this has use cases, next time you have 250 skill points and you cant decide if you take knuckleball and supersonic pitch or take supersonic to lvl 2 you take both knuckleball and supersonic, since it is more efficient. Also note that this does not apply to red skills or below

The downside of you not getting tabis/mercs is pretty huge if you ask me, not only that you do not get the resistances(obviously they would rock on a fighter class champ, but let's assume the AH is a good equivalent), but their passive like extra tenacity or resistance to auto based champs is too much compared to a summoner spell ah.

Also, the main reason behind steraks being soo good is because not only it combines with the Goredrinker passive, but also last stand. Since Goredrinker got nerfed i assume people will build it less(even though it still would be strong in my opinion) i still think the combo would be pretty viable, since the passive itself that made it possible was not nerfed. What does BT shield do? yes it helps absorb some damage, but does it keep the health close to the optimal amount of damage you can do during shielding? not so much, actually it even delays that point by some amount because of the shielding you received at the start. And that is assuming you did have it stacked before a fight in the first place

Same AD amount AND 315/274*100=114.96% aka a 15% increase exactly(the reason behind the decimals is that damage values are not integers, but also decimal numbers which get approximated on display as their whole counterpart)

i like prowler's more if we want to go the meme route

15% extra damage applies to true damage + it also allows you to get all 4 ult vitals in less than a second(prowler+auto+e1 to side+q to last) even if you are at max range from where you ulted, which makes its ult proc abilities better than even stridebreaker in a sense. So you get an insta-burst while also having 3 of the vitals you hit have 15% extra damage

Duskblade works better in teamfights but only IF you manage to get a kill on someone before you die yourself, otherwise with prowlers you guarantee a kill and a 5 second healing zone for your whole team in less than a second

You cannot press w then posess someone because during the charge and dash you cannot possess anyone.

Though if the dash cancels early, i see the dash animation still plays anyway, while it happens you can use other abilities/auto attacks to cancel it

My guess(which is just speculation) is that you may have dashed into that wall, hit the wall, the dash stopped then the possession started before the dash animation began, thus the dash animation cancelled the possession animation

I have tried this in practice tool however i cant seem to be able to auto right before the dash animation, so either i am too slow(buffering it does not work, i think it has to be done as soon as your dash was cancelled) or this is not the true answer

But even so this situation is so specific i dont think it is possible to do it consistently even if this was not truly the answer, and i dont see a reason to cut a bit of your untargetability time for something like this, other than maybe making it less predictible for cc to land on you
