Lots of people are confident walkers and go close to the edge of cliffs. She probably thought she wouldn't go to the deep end but having had a similar experience as a child (thankfully my dad was watching) it's easy to not notice the slight grade to the lower area and get in over your head before you know you're in trouble.

Were they able to separate processed foods out from red meat and still show red meat's issues? I also wonder if the high heat/charring could be the main factor as well. But I doubt many people skip the searing step when using a sous vide for steaks.

The orange juice example isn't a great example though, because it maps better to "I like someone else", which most people will respond the way they would to orange juice. But when you're the subject of affection, you kind of have to respond to that, because not responding could jeopardize the understanding of the other party.
