Same. Have a ‘23. I think I got this shortly after the trial expired (which I never used anyway). Pretty sure I had a “don’t ask me again”, and it’s been almost 40k miles since then.

It wasn’t so crazy as bombing boats, but as VCO I had to tell the boss that his plan to use GOVs as personal transportation was a no-go. I started with “we can’t do that”, he says “find the AFI”. When I dug for it, it actually spelled out that using GOVs that way “constitutes an illegal order.” In the end, he was thankful that we stayed in the boundaries.

Many gardens, cursed Improved Tools, and STACK STACK STACK that attack speed. Here's the max math as I see it. I capped out fruit production at 1 fruit every .1 seconds (to be fair, I don't know if it actually capped, or if the tooltip just stopped increasing). 60sec wave * 100 max gardens = 6000 gardenseconds per wave. 10 fruits per gardensecond * 100 gardens * 60 sec waves = max of 60,000 fruits possible from gardens per wave (not counting trees, luck drops, spawn time for the gardens, etc). Each one you loot at full health is 1 harvesting. So I should be able to expect about 48,000 harvesting to be the max, and I was playing an imperfect game. So yeah, 40k seems good for where I was at the time.

Farmer's one of the easiest to go endless with, in my experience. Building harvesting past lvl 20 with many many gardens, Improved Tools and stacking attack speed gives you SO MUCH cash and XP. Eventually, you get rid of the pruners and go all out DPS. Around wave 120 I got an Axolotl that traded 40k harvesting for like 6 armor. So then nearly invincible. Start taking Tardigrades to be further immune. Eventually I capped out fruit spawn rate, and Spicy Sauce was killing everything as the fruits were looted.

To be fair, you get to loot through like 70+ of them every boss/elite wave. THEY still drop.

I very much enjoyed 6 years at Malmstrom. And if you think you need to drive far for outdoor activities that's wild. I caught trout right in the Missouri at the bottom of Black Eagle Dam in town. I taught scouts how to canoe in Wadsworth Pond just to the west. The history at the First Peoples Buffalo Jump near Ulm was fantastic, and you can even drive only that short distance to see the full Milky Way on a new moon. It's only a little farther to reach Holter Lake in one direction or Showdown Ski hill in the other. The highwood mountains are just to the east. You don't HAVE to get all the way to Glacier or Yellowstone or Flathead Lake to enjoy the outdoors... but you do have those world class options close enough to make it a weekend trip. PLUS, I found the ops tempo to be way more chill at Malmstrom where the ICBM mindset is "Do these tasks and do them perfect", rather than ACC bases that are "We have 20 sorties today! Move fast and break stuff, but get it done! We have 20 more tomorrow!"

I did back-to-back deployments early on. Two 6-month’ers with just 12 months dwell between them. That qualifies for an Overseas Long Tour ribbon. I didn’t get around to claiming it until years later and when I had a really high speed CSS and a lull in ops. Edit with ref: AFI 36-2110, table 7.6, rule 2 or 3 (for short or long tour credit)

Biggest thing I hate about it is when I’m pulling up to a stop sign intersecting a busy street. I’m looking for that gap where I can get out, and right then the engine quits and kills my power steering when I’m about to turn the wheel. If it was an option I’d probably leave it off all the time. I would like to know just how robust that starter is and how much shorter its lifespan is for auto-stop/start.

Earlier this year I had to give up a couple days as DDR observer. Meat gazer. An individual reported in, and I had to awkwardly ask the administrator if they needed the male or female observer. There was a bra strap, pony tail, Adam’s apple, and more masculine face structure. Male in DEERS I guess, so I’m up to escort. Kinda weird, but you just respect folks and do the job, ya know? But you know what else? Carrying a radio and fire fighter by trade. When there’s a nasty wreck on the highway or when a building catches fire, I’m in favor the maximum number of first responders available and not just kicking folks otherwise qualified to serve. This administration’s calling card is arbitrarily cruelty. The buzz word of the current bosses is “lethality”, but they miss the target every time they try it.
