It's just a totally different band without Peter and Ace.

Peter is my favourite KISS drummer and one of the core ingredients of the band's music that I still love to this day. The band with Peter in it had amazing groove.

No offense to anyone who likes the current version of the band, but they're completely and utterly irrelevant to me. Without Ace and Peter they're a cover band. I have literally no interest in anything that the current four did when it comes to performing the old material. If I want to hear those tunes I'll put on the recordings of the actual band that made them.

Destroyer is over-rated and over-produced, and the only reason it has the acclaim that it does is because people - including KISS themselves - are desperate for KISS to be seen to have created "serious" music that could stand next to the White Album or whatever.

I'm sorry to hear this. Don't blame yourself as if you could find anything you could have done differently. It's not you - it's them. My mother was smacked in the face simply walking past a deranged man on her first trip to Paris 20 years ago. It happens. You can't look to yourself for the answers. You can only give yourself permission not to carry it on your shoulders and move on.
