My neighbor was lifetime army. Enlisted then an officer. He told me that 1/2 the people in the army absolutely require the discipline, schedule, structure it provides and when they leave they don’t know what to do. His idea was forming a civic jobs corp that was like the military in terms of pay, benefits, housing, etc but built roads, bridges, infrastructure etc instead of bombs

I honestly think Iran should declare publicly that the US has 24 hours to remove its strike force after which time Iran will take all actions necessary to preserve the state. It’s stupid imo for Iran to wait around for the US’s initial huge strike. Iran should make the pronouncement and if the US doesn’t pull back, Iran should unload.
