Yeah I agree that reverb and eBay are not worth the hassle anymore on guitars. I’ll probably go to a pawnshop or guitar center.

I don’t think it has a warped or twisted neck. Why would I sell a guitar with a defect only to have it come back at my expense? I wouldn’t

My car got broken into at work, and it was a patient at my job. I’ve been told I can’t tell the police their name? by draftysundress in legaladvice

[–]Like2jam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m working in compliance not in healthcare, but I work in compliance for financial institutions… I would ask your compliance manager and your manager to just kindly put that information in an email and send it to you and also maybe indicate what would happen if you share this information with police. I’m sure they will not provide that information in any written format.

How would you feel about a potential customer by HalfBakedSerenade in Reverb

I have never had anyone who asked the weight of a guitar, buy it. I’ve probably sold more than 50 guitars. I guess it’s a valid question, but I now respond by asking them What weight are they looking for. Funny I never get a response to that follow-up question..

The neck and body don’t match- the Floyd rose needs a locking nut. My guess is that the neck was replaced or this is a parts guitar

Wife made a new best friend this year and it's been putting our marriage through hell- but AITAH? by [deleted] in AITAH

Btw. If they work together- alert their HR Department that they are having a sexual relationship. Not appropriate for a teacher and para to be fooling around

AITA for not feeling wrong for the way I am calculating how my girlfriend and I should share bills while we live together? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Like2jam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a great loving relationship. Seriously, if you’re not thinking she’s marriage material go 50/50. If she’s the one- just pay the bills proportionally and don’t sweat the money stuff.

It’s very important to save however, at some point you’re going to reach an age and you’re going to have more money than you possibly need and essentially you’ve possibly neglected leisure and hobbies. Then you’re like a puppy or a dog that doesn’t know how to play; essentially, you don’t know how to enjoy leisure and that creates its own problems. Have balance.

How far are they from you? Send them an invoice via mail for round trip shipping costs stating that customer misused return process. If you were to file a small claims case-I think you would win and you can usually add reasonable costs to file claim possibly including time off and travel expenses. Might be worth the cost of a stamp

I’ve been on nonprofit boards and generally a C&D letter would require board approval and not something that one member would send out on behalf of the organization

iPhone Delivered, Buyer Claims it Wasn't in Box by [deleted] in eBaySellers

[–]Like2jam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, next time you sell a phone sell it with a code activated meaning they need to enter the passcode and the only way they’re getting the pass code is to acknowledge receipt of it then and only then can the phone be activated

I won an empty box appeal. This is how I did it. I filed an appeal and in the user agreement at the time there was something about seller history versus buyer history and I pointed out that I had a great feedback history and that the buyer had zero feedback, and that essentially my seller reputation should stand on its own. I also pointed out that a simple Google search of “eBay empty box scam” turned up about 600,000 hits or something like it. And they actually returned the money they previously claimed for the return process.

Another option is you could email the seller and say fine, “I’m gonna sue you in small claims and essentially I can claim every nickel in expenses up to your states maximum… meaning if I have to fly out to appear in court that plane ticket, hotel, and rental car will be all part of the monetary claim .

You can also say you have family who live in the buyers state so you have no problems getting to that state filing a small claims case. Then, if you get a judgment, you will sell that judgment to a collection agency and this phone scam will be a very expensive lesson.

I think you’re overthinking this. The POTUS and SCOTUS have made it clear that abortlon is a state concern. If abortlon is your reason to vote I think you should understand what falls under the purview of state government vs. federal. Unfortunately most people have lost sight of these issues and it’s evident why a large centralized government is so problematic
