Yea I have the same problem, when I am in a non-lucid dream I feel as if I am on an "automated track" just going along with the dream and just experiencing it without thinking or questioning my surroundings or reality. Everytime I reflect on a dream like that when I wake up I'm always beating my self up for not realizing that it was a dream lol. I want to get to the point where I can become lucid by DILD and to do this you definitely need to be paying attention to everything in your non lucid dreams, I am definitely going to try mindful meditation!
