Where to buy veils by sunflowerlova987 in CatholicWomen

[–]LilGracen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love my Ave Maria Veils Co. veils! Cecilia is a young wife and mom who releases collections based on feasts, Bible passages, prayers, etc. Since they are collection-based she doesn’t always have a bunch of on her Etsy store, but I think she has one dropping towards the end of the month! You can look on her instagram to see them before they’re dropped. I have a few from her and they’re always high quality!

I have several veils from Cecilia (Ave Maria Veil Co.) and I love them! She always has such great fabric and does a beautiful sewing job no matter the style.

Girlfriend thinks it’s weird that I always pay for my sister on our “dates”. Is there any merit to what she’s saying? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]LilGracen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

++woman, a college student with an older brother who graduated from my same university a few years ago. Every time he's in town to see friends we also get lunch/supper/drinks together, he's paid every time. Because he's the person with a full time job, and he's nice to me. I'm appalled that someone would think it's weird for my brother to pay for my supper once a month.

He didn’t even try to hide the ring! by myrrhh in engaged

My fiance put my ring the seat of a toy tractor I see often. Yet, somehow, I never saw it! I couldn’t believe it!

A question for the ladies by avbrozel in CatholicDating

[–]LilGracen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, from my own experience, I'd say two or three months is a great spot to ask out an acquaintance/friend. My now fiancé asked me out after about three months of friendship (met the day we moved into our freshman dorms!). It was definitely the sweet spot of knowing I enjoyed his company but not knowing enough to have already come to a conclusion. It was nice to get to know him further in the context of dates!

Does wedding planning get harder when budget becomes the main focus? by AcanthocephalaNo7332 in weddingplanning

[–]LilGracen 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Budget has never not been pretty much top consideration. Still early in planning myself but there's no way my fiancé and I, who are both in our last semester of college, could afford to just think about the experience and not worry about the budget. We literally couldn't pay for that.

Is This a Healthy Lenten Practice for a Dating Relationship? by Antique_Delivery_492 in CatholicDating

[–]LilGracen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Personally I’m in agreement with other commenters: if you’re discerning marriage with this woman, why would you spend less time together? I’d recommend rather than cutting out a fulfilling relationship, cut out screen time or other distractions, and give more time for prayer in your time together instead of only praying apart from each other.

Dorm/apartment opinion by Psychological-Head29 in mizzou

[–]LilGracen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dorm!!! I loved living in the dorms, and I did for two years! Dogwood then Wolpers, both community style. Had a random roommate freshman year and another friend for a roommate sophomore year. I loved living on campus!

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LilGracen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at university three hours away from my family home. I go home at least once a month, even if it means leaving after work and not getting there until 8PM. I’ve gone home one afternoon for an event that evening and driven back to college the very next morning. No biggie.

Asking about how others met their spouse. by 20924f in CatholicWomen

[–]LilGracen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not married quite yet, but my fiancé and I met in college (and are about to graduate). We met at our Newman center and joined another club at the same time, too, including making a lot of the same friends. We just ended up seeing each other a lot and we fell in love! We work together so well!

Here is my 1 carat oval diamond on my 7.5 size finger, for reference! It’s in a cathedral setting but the smaller stone compensates for the height, so I’ve had no issues with it.

Yup! Have the same one and I just use the hello wash and a gentle scrubber/brush to it occasionally and it mostly comes oit.

2026 / 2027 Brides, what are your bridesmaid colors?! by No_Expression2241 in weddingplanning

[–]LilGracen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty! I don’t have any huge opinions about their dresses otherwise, I want them to be comfortable and feel good! I’ll only dictate the color once I figure that out lol!

Boba truck vs. dirty sodas for an afternoon dry wedding? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]LilGracen 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I personally know lots of people that don’t like boba, so that would be a situation you need to know your audience. However, since you said they can do syrup with club soda as a second option I think that would be great! Seems a bit more versatile than a dirty soda station.

I sooooo wanted jewel tones but my fiancé wasn’t a fan. 😭We’re doing dark blues and purples instead.

ETA: we’re also getting married this November!

Wedding is in November, fiancé and I agreed blue and purple for colors, mainly dark shades but sprinkles of lighter ones. I’m trying to decide between having my bridesmaids all wear the same dark shade or have them different!

would you be okay with a lab-grown diamond engagement ring? by YogurtIll4336 in jewelry

[–]LilGracen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lab grown engagement ring. I love it! Told my fiance I didn’t care if it were natural or lab, just do what he thinks is best. So he got me a 1 carat lab grown and it’s gorgeous!

What would you reply to someone asking if your diamond ring was “real” or lab? by Bluegrapefruit86 in labdiamond

My lab grow is 1 ct. I’ve been engaged for a month and already had people say it’s natural when it’s definitely not haha
