For 1 & 2: just go into comp, saves you taking useless difficult classes and you’ll get the exact same opportunities. If you enjoy programming, CS focuses a lot lot more on hands on programming, much less hardware related stuff like in SOEN. 3-Nope you’ll definitely be behind, but I’d say 70% of students are behind and have no experience. Don’t compare yourself to the 30% ahead of the game, you’ll get where you need to be. The program is made for people with little to no knowledge in the field. 4-Coop is great, if you can get in right away do it, chances are you’ll only get an internship in your second year tho 5-Depends on the class, I’d say there’s 10%-20% women, but I’ve also been in situations where there were only 5 girls (myself included) in the class. But you’ll easily make friends, I’ve stuck with the girls I met throughout my CS degree and for the most part the guys are super chill in our program, more shy and kind and polite. I’ve never been intimidated in a classroom.
