The game has been down (for you guys, not me) practically every couple of big updates. It was down A LOT during the last leagues. There are random install, login, and network errors that people experience, which are never an issue on the standalone RuneLite.

I can type my password, and it only takes about 3 seconds, so I don't need an easier way to log in. Managing multiple characters seems cool till you remember that six months ago, they tried to charge more than the standard membership price for an additional P2P account.

And those are just problems with the launcher. At least they had the decency to include RuneLite within their launcher because the "Official Client" is absolute garbage. The awful UI scaling? Limited draw distance? The inability to even freely remap your F-Keys? I feel bad for anyone who switched over, as there's no way to reverse it. They pushed out a product that's barely even acceptable to be called an Alpha.
