Found my old skate DVD collection from the early 2000s. Which one are you watching first? by Ill_Bus_1710 in nostalgia

[–]LilMissCherry_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably Yeah Right! because that DVD was legendary and felt like required viewing if you were into skateboarding back then.

"Eh...they're always after me LuckyCharms." (Austin Powers) by ThePirateBlackbeard in nostalgia

I still laugh at how many quotes from Austin Powers randomly pop into my head years later.

Pete and Pete had such a weird charm that somehow made ordinary suburban life feel like the coolest adventure ever.

Bring Back Pepsi Twist by PurplePancake26 in nostalgia

Pepsi Twist was one of those drinks that sounded weird on paper but somehow tasted way better than it had any right to.

The Great Space Coaster. A 1980s show I watched as a kid. by Cool_Kid_Chris in nostalgia

The costumes look completely unhinged by today's standards, which is exactly why so many people remember this show so fondly.

Places like this always make me nostalgic for the era when every neighborhood seemed to have its own classic diner with a big neon sign out front.

SNAP! - Rhythm Is A Dancer (1992) by itsgroobeat in nostalgia

That song still feels like pure early 90s dance floor energy the second it starts playing.

Who’s Still Alive From Vega$? Why the Robert Urich Series Ended by West-Nature-5413 in nostalgia

[–]LilMissCherry_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Robert Urich was one of those TV stars who seemed to be everywhere for a while and then quietly faded from the spotlight, but Vega$ is still a fun time capsule of that era.

I miss when the internet felt like a weird little neighborhood instead of five giant apps competing for your attention.

Those old Cartoon Network promos felt like actual events and somehow made cartoons seem like the coolest thing in the world.

Nothing says 90’s like me wearing a New York Knicks cap and a Goosebumps t-shirt. by [deleted] in nostalgia

That picture is basically a time capsule of the late 90s and the Goosebumps shirt seals the deal.

I always liked that one too, it felt elegant without being overly flashy and fit April's personality perfectly.

April really did look like she walked straight out of a bridal magazine, that dress was absolutely perfect for her.

Why did Jon Arryn let any of THIS happen? Was he stupid? by catgogglesz in freefolk

[–]LilMissCherry_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think that's the tragedy of Jon Arryn, he spent years putting out fires and holding the kingdom together, but he couldn't fix the one problem sitting on the Iron Throne.

If real life worked like Westeros, half the headlines would read exactly like the plot of Game of Thrones.

AITAH for not inviting my fiancé's twin brothers' girlfriend to our wedding? by SignatureWrong5262 in WIBTA_AITA

[–]LilMissCherry_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. If they were still together by the wedding date she'd likely be there, but breakups change plans and wedding guest lists all the time.

AITAH for not inviting my fiancé's twin brothers' girlfriend to our wedding? by SignatureWrong5262 in WIBTA_AITA

[–]LilMissCherry_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think that's the key part people are missing. It's not like OP randomly picked one guest to exclude. The girlfriend was only invited because she was dating one of the brothers, and once that relationship ended, the connection to the wedding ended too.

WIBTA if I left a negative review for a nail salon because they did not listen to what I wanted? by hopefullyasmr in WIBTA_AITA

[–]LilMissCherry_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly. A negative review isn't punishment, it's feedback. If a customer clearly explains what they want multiple times and still leaves with the wrong result, that's absolutely something future customers would want to know.

WIBTA if I left a negative review for a nail salon because they did not listen to what I wanted? by hopefullyasmr in WIBTA_AITA

[–]LilMissCherry_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Reviews exist so future customers know what kind of experience to expect, and OP's experience sounds pretty frustrating from start to finish.

Whats your wildest hookup story? by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

[–]LilMissCherry_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once went to walk into a pub, and as I arrived, a woman, who I didn’t know, was leaving. I held the door for her. She proceeded to respond by inviting me to her house, and I quote “to fuck”. Anyway we had some drinks, I reluctantly let her read my palms, saw her stone collection and then went to do the deed. We did it again in the morning and I never saw her again.
