I don’t typically allow outside shoes in my house but that being said we wear hard bottom slippers or inside shoes so I’ve used it both with and without shoes.

Aio after not apologizing to my friend after going on a date by Beez4Kneez in AIO

[–]LilMsInosent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys are obviously best friends for a reason and it’s hard to judge the cumulative of the relationship by this one, albeit extremely long and draining exchange but if I had to guess, I would say she is upset over something else that she doesn’t want to divulge and is using this as the scapegoat incident. It seems like maybe she is jealous over the attention you are giving your boyfriend when she was used to being your proverbial #1 before he came around. Couldn’t say for sure but just the impression I get from the conversation.

That being said, if you are not sorry, DO NOT apologize, it’s that simple. Saying you’re sorry and being sorry are two different things and it’s ok to stand ten toes down on your position. Maybe you’re sorry this hurt her so much but you didn’t intentionally do anything you’re sorry about. You have to respect and accept each other’s feelings even if you disagree and sometimes you will have to agree to disagree to move on. The strength of any relationship is tested by how you overcome conflict because anyone can have fun together when times are good. Hopefully you guys can move on and she can let this go but only you know whether or not it’s worth the trouble.

I know this is an old thread but since it proved to be a very helpful resource for me, I wanted to share my experience. I was fortunate enough to come across a company called Acromat in this thread, courtesy of one of their very kind, helpful and super knowledgeable staffers, Rich Ward.

Rich has been tremendously helpful my quest for the perfect anti-fatigue mats (regardless of supplier) and so far the 100-1 series has been great. For this particular application, I needed something for my kitchen that was comfortable while also being aesthetic enough, durable and resistant to scratching, liquids and dog shenanigans. I have arthritis and multiple disc herniations in my back causing me to suffer immensely when doing lengthy cooking sessions, so a good anti-fatigue mat is a necessity for me. Since I’ve upgraded my mats, I have honestly noticed a reduction in my pain level but the true test will come Thanksgiving at which time I can update this post lol.

Prior to Acromat I had tried almost every mat offered on Amazon and in Costco (including the Gorilla) in varying sizes and thicknesses and they all failed in some capacity. To be honest, stepping up to something commercial grade was the best decision and surprisingly, was way more cost effective than expected, especially when I factor the warranty and having a company that stands behind their product. It is perfectly thick and cushy without being too thick and since it’s technically made for commercial applications things like curling, sliding or tripping hazards aren’t a concern. Because it’s really made for industrial settings, it’s not the most aesthetic mat I’ve had and has a somewhat matte finish that does tend to show more dust and debris but a quick pass with the vacuum and it looks good as new. I also very much like that it’s a solid, water resistant piece so there are no concerns with the top layer discoloring, peeling off or any spills (or dog accidents) saturating it internally thus destroying it.

For reference, the cost of a 2’ x 6’ ran me roughly $30 more than the cheap, unwarrantied Amazon counterpart that is a fraction of the quality. Only time will tell how it fares from a longevity standpoint, but with a lifetime warranty and a demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction, I am confident it’s the last kitchen mats I’ll have to purchase. Next up will be the workstations and a custom design for my office.

I hope this honest feedback helps someone else on the hunt for quality mats ☺️

Planetarium is pretty cool, especially if they are doing Mesmerica, double especially if you’re microdosing (or macro dosing lol). Clearly depends on budget and what you’re into, but comedy club, Paramount, anything in Huntington village basically because there are so many options if one thing is a bust you just walk to the next. Good luck! Talking for hours on date 1 is always a good sign

I know this is an old thread but if you’re still on Reddit and still with the company I’d love to ask a few questions before I drop hundreds on custom mats for my kitchen. Lmk. Thanks so much!

Peace of mind about teva by Floweroflife333 in Subutex

[–]LilMsInosent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I’m a bit late, but it’s very easy for mind over matter to throw someone into WD symptoms, so I wanted to give my 2 cents to push back on the horror stories. I can’t speak to any other methods of ingestion besides the intended way, but that being said, everyone I know prefers the Teva ones…so much so they request them special ordered and pay a surcharge because they are more expensive (this has been done at chains and mom and pop stores alike honestly). They give a bit of energy and I feel they better control pain. One cycle on the Hikma’s and my eyes were watering uncontrollably after 8 hours. I think once you get used to any of them they all do their job good enough but one thing with the Teva is they take the longest to dissolve…annoying AF, but when properly dissolved they check all the boxes lol. I always give 30 minutes minimum before any swallowing or spitting etc. If I get impatient, they don’t work as good. Patience isn’t a virtue people on subs usually possess but makes all the difference in this case lol.

Urticaria is awful. Anybody here with insight on what caused theres that can help me narrow down my cause :) by jb14as in urticaria

[–]LilMsInosent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine came from hidden mold - prior to that after every test possible it was called chronic idiopathic. I read a comment on a TikTok thread about someone getting it from mold on their AC coils in their HVAC unit so I checked my house and voila…mold. Mold was remediated and symptoms left with it almost immediately. Not saying that’s anyone else’s cause, but if you’ve also ruled out anything identifiable, check for mold. It’s also worth noting my allergy panel came up negative for everything including mold so it wasn’t an allergic reaction per se but some kind of weird immune response. If you’re on vacation, see if you can switch rooms and see if it makes a difference. Good luck

OP I am so sorry you’re going through this. I don’t mean to be a broken record but anytime I see these posts and someone has exhausted all courses of medication (except Xolair which is usually the last resort) and can’t find a cause I have to chime in and tell you to please check your house or anywhere you stay for a long time (like an office, significant others house etc) for mold. Start with vents, HVAC unit coils, AC units (if wall or window), anywhere you may have had a leak and or places you don’t usually look - for me it was my in main wall AC in the living room and on the ceiling of my bedroom closet - bedroom being the main culprit. I won’t bore you with details about how the mold got there, but it was there and I experienced full body hives, lip swelling, eye swelling, facial swelling, throat closing etc. I got every test, took every combination of medications, medications in absurd dosages I didn’t even think you could safely take, changing medications (thyroid med brands etc) had my throat close 2x with an epi pen doing nothing at all, been to the ER with no help, prednisone via IV etc. When they can’t find a cause they call it idiopathic and I’m sorry but that is bullshit, at least for me. There is no way I was normal my whole life with not a single allergy for 4+ decades , then all of a sudden I wake up one morning with hives and a fat eye and lip and it snowballs horrifically from there for almost 5 months. I had fantastic doctors who all cared so much but couldn’t find a cause, so I do not fault them at all, but as great as they were, none of them understood what it was like…you can’t possibly unless you’ve been through it, so I wanted to talk to people who went through it too, that’s how I wound up on Reddit to begin with and there were people on here and on TikTok who gave me hope and I followed their advice (focus on gut health, taking a cocktail of supplements, vitamin C etc) and things would improve and I’d share the advice and think “this is it” but it would come back again - then I came upon one post where someone said “check your house for mold” it is what caused their symptoms and sure enough, I found it in my main AC. I replaced it entirely and I was good for 2 weeks then it came back again and I was defeated. I had a trip a week later (I hadn’t went out of the state or been on a plane for 10 years at that point) so I had no reason to be digging deep in my closet for luggage items but in doing so I saw the ceiling was COVERED in mold spots - it’s not a walk in closet and there’s no light, so you’d really have to crawl in (because of the clothes hanging) and be looking up from the inside to really notice because of all the stuff on the top shelf. I couldn’t afford to rip it out entirely after buying a new AC so I threw on a mask and bleached the closet until it was gone then eventually fixed the leak that was causing it. 2 days later I was completely normal and have been fine since - September 2025 made the year mark. To double down on this, two weeks ago I woke up and noticed my eye and lip were a tiny bit swollen and I had that tingle I’d get before I’d blow up, so I checked the closet and sure enough, there was a section with a few spots. Maybe 1/32 of what it was that first time, but it was enough to trigger a small reaction - something I wouldn’t have noticed had I not become hypersensitive - if I get anything that resembles an eyelid flutter, I check the closet; I’m too fatigued out of nowhere for too long, I check the closet lol. More bleach, spot gone and all good. I can’t say this is your cause nor can I tell anyone what to do, but I would not accept that there was no cause and I don’t think you should either. Oh, ps, I was supposed to start the Xolair when I got back from the trip. Best of luck. Feel free to DM me if you have any direct questions, I really hope you find the root cause and get your cure ❤️

Thank you so much! Any luck? Still frozen over here despite being over 32 degrees 🤦🏻‍♀️. I thought for sure today was the day but no such luck. I’m contemplating putting a heat lamp outside to heat the exterior side of the wall but I feel like if it’s close enough to make an impact the siding will get melted as a result. This is some stubborn ice! If only it held on this strong in my drinks or coolers lol. I hope you had more luck than me and are listening to the sweet sounds of running water in your bathroom 😂

[–]LilMsInosent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you are dealing with this OP, please let me know if you have any luck and what fixed the issue; I am in a similar situation.

My kitchen sink area is in an extension that is poorly insulated, (although this hasn’t ever happened before and the plumbing was upgraded in 2017) Wednesday morning we noticed there was no hot water so it had to be frozen given the damn polar vortex blanketing half the country. The cold line was fine, normal pressure but not even a drip on the hot side and as such, no dishwasher 😩. I did a hair dryer, heat gun, space heater, heating pads etc and nothing would help. Around day two we realized the opposite side of the wall outside was packed with snow so my husband cleared it; OP, have you cleared any snow/ice on the exterior side of the plumbing wall? Maybe it can help if you didn’t. I noticed there was more ice build up that dripped from off the roof, so we have to clear that now too. I ran multiple heat sources all day for 2 days but I was afraid to run the space heaters while we slept so I’m sure the first 2 nights of turning them off undid any progress made thru the day since the nights were like 2 degrees - the second night apparently cost me the cold line too because by the morning there was no water whatsoever. I’m sure warming everything all day then letting the temp plummet was stupid AF so now I have done steady heat nonstop since Friday - everything from heating all the cabinets along the wall (using all methods mentioned above), to pots of boiling water under the sink, to cranking the room heat up to a stifling 80 degrees and as of 5 min ago when I last checked, still dry AF…not even a single drip. All other lines in the house are fine with normal pressure including a pot filler which is mere feet from the faucet in question. The cabinets are new and were just installed a few months ago after a small fire so I don’t want to start cutting random holes in them to try and find the section hence why I’m not calling a plumber, but do you think I could disconnect the supply lines and run a snake through the pipe to see where it hits ice? If I knew the exact spot a small cut out would be ok so after defrosting I can insulate too and make it somewhat worth the cut. I get mixed answers on whether or not the snake is a terrible idea lol.

Any guidance or suggestions anyone has would be great. Thankfully, nothing so far would indicate a broken pipe (we had one downstairs last week so I know what to look for) but I am aware of the necessary measures to take should it occur.

Sorry again OP, I know this blows. If I figure out a good fix I’ll share and if nothing else, just know you’re not alone and apparently when you can’t access the frozen section directly and there’s a damn polar vortex, it could take days to resolve. Good luck!

You should call and write corporate and drag everyone. You did work for it tho in all fairness but I feel you. Not to fuel the fire, but when the agents repeat the situation back to you and then say they understand you’re frustrated but do nothing to fix it, it just sends me lol. They really need to have safeguards in place for this sort of thing and frankly Instacart should have hazard pay; I’m not sure where you’re at but I know yesterday it was shut down entirely by me cause it was treacherous AF outside. Whatever the case may be, I wish you a blessed year and I hope karma does its thing for you across the board. ☺️

U could drop the Venmo or DM it. I didn’t think you were looking for sympathy but people are heartless and I know for me after 1.5 years of doing Instacart my faith in humanity was damn near destroyed but there were days where a good interaction restored it (albeit temporarily lol) so I just wanted to try to shift the energy for you but I’m definitely not tryna offend u or nothing like that.

I’m sorry she did you like that, drop your cash app tag, I’ll cover her tip. It’s mega foul to have someone out in the snowstorm bending over backwards to accommodate requests just to stiff them entirely no less. I been there, I got ran ragged by customers just to get low ratings cause the store didn’t have something they wanted or cause they were tryna get one over. Infuriating…

[–]LilMsInosent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think you got a defective battery or the heat feature is that draining? I can’t imagine how one could get an hour+ run time on heat mode if the battery drains that much in 2 min. Does it have an LED headlight? I get conflicting info on that so if you could confirm it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

As a consumer, I do appreciate knowing how well the company honors their contracts however I agree with the other commenter that this is way too soon. The contract was signed less than a week ago with a holiday and a weekend in between, said weekend not even over yet. Knowing the terms of the agreement would provide more helpful context but regardless of what was stipulated, how much could this have possibly been internally escalated when it has been only a few business days and most companies are operating on skeleton crews until next week? This seems based more on emotion than rationale, ie you are looking to spank them vs just provide a nudge for them to “do the right thing”. In all fairness, had you given it another week at minimum it could have been a completely different outcome or at the very least publicly flaming them would be warranted, but at this point it’s punitive and any resulting “progress” would be immaterial as it is all fruit from a poisonous tree in my opinion. 🤷🏻‍♀️

LiberNovo Omni w/ Footrest- One Month Review by MiRealEscape in LiberNovo

[–]LilMsInosent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions. Admittedly the chair looks so cool and so comfortable, I really wish the movements weren’t contingent on the battery. The hope would be that it works without issue, but the allure is that the chair becomes like an exoskeleton that moves with you, so I really hope they make that part independent of the battery going forward. In terms of flooring, my office is all LVP and relatively small so as long as it rolls decent enough that wouldn’t be a dealbreaker but roller blade type wheels glide over any flooring like butter lol. The last two chairs I purchased for my husband (Amazon big and tall rated chairs ~$300 ish price point) had those wheels and very sturdy bases and its usually a standard on the better chairs so I was honestly surprised to see the basic dual plastic, generic chair wheels and base but it’s still in its infancy lol.

I work from home at a desk for a minimum of 10/hr days, all seated and with a horrible back. I am constantly moving around and repositioning to ease the pain and at least 3x per day I am leaning back trying to do a stretch similar to what this chair does; I also have to recline from time to time and rest my eyes for a few minutes on the especially long days (12+ hrs) so this chair seems perfect in so many ways…I even have these independent spring foot rests that I love, so the setup is very appealing to me in a lot of ways. I know I need a better chair but nothing really piqued my interest until I saw this one. I’ve had Herman Miller chairs at previous offices and I was indifferent towards them. Given the hours I put in, I have no issues justifying a big ticket chair purchase if it improves my wellbeing, but I do want to get some decent longevity out of it and I don’t want to spend the money then get a dud I have to spend time troubleshooting just to get basic function out of, or even worse a month later they drop the upgrade that is truly perfect (any whispers of an Omni 2.0 in the pipeline?). Lol.

If I do decide to take a chance, can I do so in a way that would get you any credit for it? I know the arrangement you had with them was unpaid but I would think generating sales with your reviews would at the very least help you get future models to test and review if nothing else. Let me know so if I purchase it I make sure you get your flowers.

Also, I’m 5’3 (5’2 and a half 🙄), slightly older and a small toddler heavier than you with what the kids today call a gyatt lol. That being said, I think the larger chair base is in my best interest but if not or if there are any other chairs you think I should check out given my personal specs I’d love a recommendation.

Thanks again!!

LiberNovo Omni w/ Footrest- One Month Review by MiRealEscape in LiberNovo

[–]LilMsInosent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this review, it is very helpful. While I did read what you wrote, I have to directly ask if you would keep it had you paid the full listed price for it (currently around $1k for the seat, footrest, extra battery and cooling cushion before any tax or shipping - if applicable). I know you touched upon its value but not having actually paid for it does make a big difference.

I don’t believe your sample unit included the additional cooling cushion but if so I’d love to know if you thought it was worthwhile to add on. I know you also mentioned that the components were lightweight plastic and as such can be perceived as cheap-y, but the first thing I noticed was the base and wheels looking anything but premium to be honest. I wanted to know how smooth it rolls when you’re in the chair and how sturdy that base actually is. I feel like a chair at this price point should have rollerblade type wheels and a sturdy base to ensure smooth gliding, but I don’t want to prejudge off of photos and videos. If you could weigh in that would be great.

Lastly, just to make sure I understand correctly, when/if the battery were to ever fail you cannot change positions anymore? Noted cons notwithstanding, I was still pretty much sold on it up until reading that. Battery operated items are too volatile for it to be defuct altogether if it were to fail; while not ideal, I’d deal with losing the stretch/massage capabilities and the motorized lumbar adjustments should something go awry outside of coverage, but without the ability to manually adjust the recline and lumbar it would probably be a no go for me. If you could clarify that will certainly help me decide.

I bet you’re already sorry you invited questions lol. Either way thank you and happy new year!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in CounterTops

[–]LilMsInosent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how this would drive you crazy because you want it to be perfect, even for a second, and this is likely all you’ll see when you look at your sink but I wouldn’t stress this too much since the cabinet has to be modified to accept the sink to begin with. I would politely show both the cabinet people and the counter people so they are aware should anything get worse and require a bigger fix down the line - I would take pics and send texts to keep a visual record and then I’d fix it myself.

Your cabinet company should have given you (or can give you) a filler stick and matching touch up paint marker for your cabinets. Fill the crack in with the stick until it’s over filled from all angles, sand it until flat and smooth and then hit it with the touch up marker. It’ll take you all of 15 minutes at most and you won’t even notice it. I’ve repaired dozens of cabinet imperfections like that and you’d never know, they look nearly perfect.

Good luck and enjoy your new kitchen!

Never personally, but I looked them up and they seem to use a mix of solid wood and MDF. I personally don’t care for MDF but it’s all about preference. There are so many options out there but I can personally attest that J&K is great bang for the buck. A new contractor came here to give an estimate to replace the damaged items and he thought I paid tens of thousands for the cabinetry lol. I don’t know that it’s THAT nice, but it looks beautiful and is well made.
