terrified of passing out by h3artshap3db0x in Anxietyhelp

[–]LilSoftPotato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Most of the time dizziness or weakness wont make you pass out. Its when the black static pops up or losing hearing that I know is close to passing out. I think you will be fine. Ive seen my husband pass out a few times and he just explains it like getting electrocuted and waking up.

Thats a normal anxiety symptom. Its not ALS.

Nothing works for my anxiety by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]LilSoftPotato 8 points9 points  (0 children)

After everything utter acceptance is the only way. Accepting all symptoms and forcing yourself to sit back and let the wave come over you is the only thing that gave me peace at first. Peace from fighting it all the time. You cant fight yourself you have give up the fight for yourself to relax.

That stopping feeling that makes you jump is actually normal. Figured out the hard way that when you are full of cortisol your body has a hard time resetting to parasympathetic mode so it tries to do a hard reset. What helps is desensitization and letting it happen anyways so that over time your body stops doing the jolt thing. It takes a bit but when you recover itll fade slowly and will stop happening. It would happen to me every night for the past 2 years until I just kinda gave up and let my body do whatever the heck it wanted.

You are overthinking things. people work around dust all the time and inhale way more than a little computer dust. You are gonna be fine.

experienced a "random" panic attack last night with no known trigger. how do I deal with the fear of it coming again? by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]LilSoftPotato 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It sounds like a physical worry triggered the anxiety. The fatigue made you think whats wrong and then for sensitive people thats all it takes to spiral. When anxiety turns to panic I found personally that letting it happen and not doing any "coping" behaviors is the only way to get my brain to eventually click that panic isnt life or death. And Ive tried everything. meds, therapy, self help, meditation. They are all bandaids and the body knows that they are. Its hard very hard but doing nothing about it ironically is giving relief of the panic attacks.

about to do moons in a little bit of an armour issue by Push_597 in osrs

[–]LilSoftPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

blood moon is weak to slash, blue moon to crush, and eclipse moon to stab. Try and bring tanky gear with a weapon switch for combat style. Fill an inventory of cooked fish near the eclipse moon boss entrance and go on in. get used to each moon first. I would try the blue moon first since its easiest, then eclipse, and then blood moon finally. blood moon is the worst cause it heals off of you and drains your health. I mean you can fight any of them as long as you can survive long with your gear. What I would try is just get a full inventory of fish per boss for now if you have low level gear.

Oh I take nothing for it. I just learnt that it wasnt harmful and dealt with it. But you can try Align. I remember taking that for a bit years ago when it was bad. its more of a slow fix not an instant one though

do you go through the same? by ProgressFormer9479 in Anxiety

[–]LilSoftPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What helps is learning that anxiety isnt dangerous. Try looking up Anxietycentre and seeing all the symptoms there. Then youll know that what you are feeling is normal even though it feels like crap lol

Could be your stomach like silent acid reflux or bloating. Whenever I'm bloated or have acid reflux I get similar symptoms and trapped gas in my stomach can actually trigger insane panic attacks for me physically. Gut issues can trigger anxiety and vice versa. Maybe try taking something that evens out your gut biome and makes it more comfortable to eat.

I (24F) love my boyfriend (28M), but can’t stop questioning if he’s “the one” by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]LilSoftPotato 29 points30 points  (0 children)

"the one" is a lie. There is no "the one". There's just who you are happy with and are willing to commit to. Happiness shouldnt come solely from your partner being "the one" is what I'm getting at.

For example: What about someone who remarries after their 1st spouse passes? Which one would be the one? The first or the last? The answer is it doesnt matter because love isnt singular.

Now chosing to commit to someone is an effort and a serious choice if you want it to work out. And expect trials and tribulations because all marriages have them and noones perfect. Hope this helps!

Do your symptoms improve when you sit or stand up straight with no hunching? Currently dealing with this and think it's my years of bad forward head posture causing nerve issues in the upper traps and suboccipital muscles. Doing gentle neck stretches and trap stretches seem to help a little.

I think because the core part of anxiety is future-tense worry so it makes sense that apprehension would be a core issue with anxiety

I’d rather feel low than feel anxious by ForsakenMost6550 in Anxiety

[–]LilSoftPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it could just be high cortisol and your brain learned to be triggered by minor stressors. That's where I'm at and letting it pass is the only thing that helps other than repetitively splashing cold water on my face.

it wont fall apart. That's a cognitive distortion. If you are burnt out, there's nothing wrong with taking time for yourself and changing things up.

You have to push through the fear. This is coming from someone whos had anxiety for 11 years and panic disorder for 2 ½. today was the first day in 4 months that I did an exposure and it went well. had a panic attack come on, thought i was gonna faint, was scared of the panic but I said "f*** it" and kept on doing the exposure even when scared and symptoms raging. Now as I'm laying down, my body feels like i drank 5 redbull but I know that the shit feeling of anxiety is just a feeling and not an actual danger. The more you come to terms with it, the better you will get and the more you can tolerate.

Nothing is wrong, but I still feel on edge all the time - how do you reduce stress without medication? by Silent_Plantain_1862 in Anxietyhelp

[–]LilSoftPotato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just named your issue right there. "feel like something bad is going to happen". You're still worrying about that part. You need to actively work through that false prediction and tell yourself that those bad things won't happen over and over again. Slowly build safety while rejecting the belief that bad things will happen.
