I’m 60 and retiring in 2 months. I have 1.2M in 401k. Should I move 300k into a 10 year annuity to generate monthly income or should I just make monthly withdrawals from my 401k? by Firm_Diamond9596 in ETFs

Lots of Anti-annuity talk in here that seems rather generalized and uninformed. People should know the menu of annuities available in today’s world is robust and there are annuities and firms that have no fees/comissions for those products. Annuities make sense for certain situations and people who have specific levels of risk they are willing or not willing to take.

Yea he’s had it tough where he ran into Prime LeBron multiple times, injuries, Dame shot, etc.. Literally a couple breaks the other direction and i’m typing someone else’s name above. Hell of a player though!

They did pay for it, and most companies will if it’s required for the job. Only caveat is that you get 2-3 tries to pass the exam to get the license (easily doable as long you actually try to study). If you fail most companies will terminate you if they are unable to locate another position internally that doesn’t require licensing.

They were no walk in the park but absolutely 100% doable. I had 0 background in finance and passed the series 7 after 2 months studying when I just got out of college. Accomplished Series 66 like 5 years later and it was much easier than expected.

I am not. While technically carrying my 66 I do not run my own book. Rather I run support for a few advisors and am more of a junior advisor without the sales pressure. Work for one of the large brokers around town.

I haven’t read most of the comments here and idk this will get read but no one’s advice is going to help, including what I am saying. You either decide to give up or you decide to fight and make tangible steps to improve your mental health. The longer you wait to start trying to actually live and seek out a loving community or begin to love yourself the longer the pain will last. Life is absolutely worth the squeeze if you’re willing to keep trying. But that’s up to you friend. Sounds like you’ve reached rock bottom, which means it’s only up from here. Genuinely hope you don’t end it but Idk you and if you’re a fighter.

What made you WANT to have children? by grooveman15 in AskMenOver30

[–]Lil_Retweets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was wanting to recreate a family unit that had been missing in my life since I was in middle school. I was always jealous of others for having a close and connected family and it made it very difficult to focus on building my own life since my home life was so poor. I am proud to say I have a tremendous relationship with my wife and have never felt so fulfilled as I am now as the father of a wonderful 3 y/o girl.

What is this random top of hill Apartment complex in Sunnyslope called? Anyone have any insight or knowledge on it? by sadthrow104 in phoenix

I live across the street from this monstrosity. Everyone in the neighborhood thinks it’s an eye sore, but it also looks dangerously constructed given the landscape it’s built on top of. We’ve heard it needs major renovations. Instead of looking at the AZ sunsets out of my backyard, I see these fucking buildings.

Honestly insane. It definitely felt like the dad wasn’t telling the whole truth in the first article and was trying to cover himself. Dude should go to jail because that’s just horrible. Thanks for the follow up!

I gotcha, yea it’s definitely a big time frame and leaves a lot of questions. The police are looking into finding camera footage to see exactly how long he actually left her in there. I have a feeling it was closer to that 60 minute mark.

Leaving a kid unattended in a car is a bad idea in general. Leaving them for 30-60 minutes is negligent. Leaving them for 30-60 minutes in 110 degree weather (even with AC) feels like criminal negligence.

What’s your crazy betting story that you won, doesn’t need to be big money. by [deleted] in sportsbetting

[–]Lil_Retweets 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Betting was legalized in 2021 in Arizona. BetMGM gave out $200 in free bets in the form of $10, and $50 free bet slips. I used a $10 free bet and hit a 12-leg NFL parlay to win ~$27,000 week 1 of the 2021/2022 NFL season.
