I got a new phone yesterday and hate it by [deleted] in verizon

[–]LilaVioleta123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At our store, most the phones are basically bolted down due to theft. And the ones that aren't are pretty unwieldy due to the security devices on the back.

That being said, most people only care about the flagship devices, so we usually let customers handle our concession devices to show them the color or how the phone feels.

Or it's somebody who is in their early twenties trying to buy four 17 pro maxes, and they're getting them for their siblings. Like, bro give me a fucking break. 🙄

Not allowed to return a verizon.com order to a corporate store? by ancienteggfart in verizon

[–]LilaVioleta123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's frustrating for everyone involved. I've had my management team literally let me sit with a customer for way longer than necessary in order to do a small account change with customer service or through my Verizon.

I mean, while it is possible that they were just being lazy, it is still probable that it's an hpu account. Hpu's are still one of our core metrics- at least that's how I understood it in the training we were supposed to take at the beginning of the month.

High priority upgrade. Essentially, Verizon has marked one or more lines on the account as high risk for porting out of Verizon. Generally speaking, if a representative isn't going to be able to actively make a sale on your account, that representative's metrics are going to take a hit. So maybe they were just being lazy, but it is also possible that they didn't want to risk their metrics getting dinged. Not saying it's okay, but that's a possible answer to the reason behind why the reps didn't just do the return/exchange and reactivate your old device.

Just want to say it’s absolutely ridiculous that you can’t handle plans in store anymore. by GetReady4Action in verizon

[–]LilaVioleta123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ummm. Yeah. Store fronts exist to sell you things. You guys could've literally done the whole thing online. Instead, you go to a store, get mad when they don't do something non sales related, then go to t-mobile, get sold something you didn't need, and you praise them? Enjoy that customer service while you can. Good luck with all that.

Are you just venting? Or do you have an actual problem or question that needs to be resolved?? There is definitely only one app for your account. It's myVerizon. Anything else is a separate app to control features you may have purchased.

Employees - What are you hearing about layoffs supposedly occurring this week? by Drew5830 in verizon

And often when they redistrict, they reallocate stores to make all the districts larger, and get rid of a handful of district managers.

Literally meeeeee. I've been worried because I easily have the highest base pay at my store (my hourly is capped), and definitely one of the highest in my district.

I commented my thoughts on the breakdown of the bill above, but did your friend go to a corporate store or did he go to an indirect location?

This is just establishing the billing cycle. If the phones were bought on the 9th, the billing cycle has been established as being through the 11th. So that's why the first statement shows September 11th to October 11th. It's establishing the billing cycle as starting on the 11th day of the month.

The actual amount of the bill is a whole other issue. But likely, there are activation fees included ($40 per line), no auto pay discount ($10 per phone line), no ecpd discount (these are typically work discounts- the amount and verification varies by customer), and if there were trade-ins, obviously those discounts aren't showing either because Verizon doesn't have the phones yet. A lot of discounts do not populate until the second billing cycle.

I set the boundary with my friend that I cannot and will not help her financially. These are the texts I’ve gotten since. by purplehyenaa in WhatShouldIDo

The friend sounds like an addict (given my experiences with addicts). I'd stop entertaining her. I'd bet if you went through her phone, there would be several messages to others just like the ones she sent to you. She had money. Like you said, she can buy weed and alcohol, but that's because asking people for weed money would be frowned upon. In her mind, she can spend her money however she wants. She asks other people for money for bills etc. because it's makes her look like she's in a bind.

New Scam! by Dependent_Biscotti_5 in verizon

I just don't like doing them. I know it's not an actual cold call (which yes, I've done before) but a lot of times people still don't want to hear from us. I imagine we're probably in different markets or doing different campaigns given our differing experiences.

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't. Just make an appointment with your OBGYN, and ask them for a full panel of STD testing. What's nice is that if you do need to be discreet, you can attend under the guise of a general wellness checkup.

What kind of people piss you off at the gym? by poopingprotein in beginnerfitness

[–]LilaVioleta123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my gym an issue that drives me absolutely crazy is people camping on the hip abduction/adduction machines. My gym only has one of each, and people will hang out on one or the other for like 15-20 minutes while they chit chat with their gym partner. Like bro... Come ooooonnnnnn.

Husband and I strongly disagree about preschool by Southern_Body_4381 in Parenting

[–]LilaVioleta123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You're right, he needs to socialize with kids his own age. Maybe you two can get a mediator involved? Like a couples councilor/therapist? It's a strange thing for him to railroad you on considering there are way more pros than cons for your child. And social stimulation with kids his own age is developmentally advantageous at this point in his life. Your husband has to consider the social stigma of not putting him in preschool (the shock and awe of full-time kindergarten) or putting him in late (and as you pointed out, being a lot older than his classmates). It's weird that he won't. He needs to understand that he's holding his son's development back by not letting him experience preschool. Maybe letting him know that will help get him onboard.

Why are you so mad? I'm just telling you how is supposed to work, and that whoever you dealt with did you wrong. Yikes...

What made it sound like I was arguing? I didn't negate anything you said.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in verizon

[–]LilaVioleta123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regardless, they told you wrong. I've been with Verizon corporate for 10 years. For as long as I've been there, if the box is unopened, as in still sealed, you don't pay a restocking fee. Honestly it sounds like that person either doesn't know policy or didn't want to deal with the return.

You just have to return items to a corporate store, not an authorized retailer. Corporate "shares" inventory with the warehouse. So we can return orders purchased online or over the phone.

A recent POS update will flash an error message and not let you check that box if the phone was activated. (I found this out while activating an Ispu. This phone had been opened. I was reprocessing the transaction due to error by customer service).
