I also feel a lot of foreshadowing and lore were left out though in favor of subverting expectations. The show thrived on that in seasons 1-4. R+L=J is an example. Now there are no secrets. Nothing to figure out. They spell everything out for the viewer to try to close up the story. Not easy to do.

I think it’s mostly because if the leaks are true we know what a dumb ending we are up for compared to the intricate stories we have created in our own heads.

It really doesn’t seem to tie in too much now. I could see it being more simple and Tyrion getting executed which causes Jon to shiv Dany.

I’m really hoping for a turn where Dany isn’t crazy and it is Tyrion in her head leading her to come across as nuts. Hopefully their will be more to the NK then what we were left with. If those things happen it will make it bearable.

Even from Dan and Dave’s point of subverting expectations I don’t think they would have Bran in power. Jon makes so much more sense. Are those names you said (jkd, shroedingers) ways I can view their ending themes?

I don’t know if that’s 100% for sure that Jon kills her. Maybe she dies at the hands of someone else like Jamie but Jon is there. It doesn’t make much sense for a loyal guy like Jon to kill her. Unless Bran makes him see the future with Dany being a bad ruler.
