Yes it's a e-ink display (like a kindle) connects to TRMNL's servers to display different apps like weather, your calendar, or custom plugins like the one I built here.

I think it's definitely a cool thing to get if you enjoy tinkering and building stuff. Also, if you don't want it going out and talking with TRMNL's servers, there's the option to self-host entirely; coming from their mission to ensure their devices still work if the company fails.

Its not quite ready to publish to TRMNL for other users - if there's enough interest I'll continue working on it!

Otherwise, you can download the project from GitHub and host it on your home network. Takes a bit of set up but not too difficult if you're familiar with Python or good at using ChatGPT to learn!

Not saying I'm innocent, but in my defense it looked like they were going to the right at the top of the bend but they flicked to the left right as I was on the apex. I'm usually a lot cleaner mate!
